TANGIER TANGO - reared and fell to the ground when parading in the birdcage prior to the start dislodging driver S Ottley from the sulky. Underwent a Veterinary examination and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2.48pm. Miss Ottley was unharmed in this incident. | |
HALEY ROBYN - broke shortly after the start and fell to the track dislodging driver C Ferguson from the sulky with Mr Ferguson making heavy contact with the running rail. Stewards immediately stopped the race with the field pulling up shortly afterwards. HALEY ROBYN was subsequently declared a late scratching on Veterinary advice however was cleared of any injury. Connections advised HALEY ROBYN would now be sent for a spell. The filly must trial satisfactorily on one occasion prior to resuming. Mr Ferguson was examined by the on-course Paramedics and cleared of any injury. As the field had only raced a short distance the race was eligible to be re-run with all remaining runners undergoing a Veterinary examination and being cleared to start. | |
