The oncourse race book failed to display various runners as being unruly with this information disseminated through appropriate channels.

The water cart was unable to be used prior to Race 1 due to mechanical issues which were rectified prior to Race 2.

Race 1   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY MOBILE PACE
All drivers were spoken to prior to this event given that the track had not been watered and agreed to proceed as scheduled.
SUNSET STRIP - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was back from position at dispatch. Driver Z Butcher was issued with a warning. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m. Broke rounding the final turn losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
MIKI MIRAGE - broke near the 850m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
BEETASTIC - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m.
BARBAROSSA - over-raced early stages when being restrained to the rear and was then taken around to lead near the 850m.
All runners were checked by the Veterinarian following this event with no issues detected.
Race 2   PHIL WHITCOMBE - RETIRING AFTER 52 YRS AT ALEX PARK MOB PACE
AMAZING CAPTAIN - Driver J Dickie was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
CHRISTIES ART - swung sideways leaving the pre-race formation hampering another runner and lost ground however was in position at the candy pole. Broke shortly after the start but soon settled. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Over-raced middle stages.
SWEET MIA - over-raced middle stages. Raced greenly early in the run home.
MASTER SAVOY - hampered on leaving the pre-race formation losing ground but then broke early in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Broke shortly after the start losing further ground. A warning was placed on this runner's barrier manners. Connections advised the gelding had cast the off fore shoe during the running.
Race 3   CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS HANDICAP TROT
KISSMEILOVEYOU - required the assistance of an Attendant prior to the start when there was an issue with the removable deafeners. Connections undertook to rectify this matter. Broke near the 400m when leading losing ground. A warning was placed on this runner's racing manners. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
ANASTASIA ASHLEY - weakened in the run home.
ROYAL PETITE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
WHATS UP THE HILL - slow early. Paced from the 100m. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation in that the gelding was not in the correct gait over the concluding stages. After viewing the replays connections did not contest the protest and WHATS UP THE HILL was disqualified by Stewards.
LIGHT O LOVE - broke rounding the first turn losing its chance.
CHESINOV - slow early losing ground. Broke near the 1450m losing considerable ground.
BUSY CANOODLING - late scratching at 7.37am on veterinary advice.
Race 4   DUNSTAN I CAN DOOSIT HANDICAP TROT
AMERICAN MUSCLE - held up early stages of the run home then lay outwards for a distance.
LORD POPINJAY - pre-race warmed.
Race 5   THE WARREN MATHIESON 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION MOB PACE
INVISIBLE - raced four wide from the 500m.
DUCHESS MEGXIT - raced roughly for a distance rounding the final turn. Held up early stages of the run home.
Race 6   BOOK NOW - HARNESS MILLIONS 21 MAR AT ALEX 2YO MOBILE PACE
HORIZON - lay in when being steadied to surrender the lead near the 1200m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 100m and could not be driven out.
UTAH BLAZE - lay in and contacted a track marker rounding the first turn. Raced greenly middle stages. Lay in and broke near the 100m hampering an inside runner and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the colt's racing manners.
LINCOLN LOVER - lay in rounding the turns and in particular the final turn becoming awkwardly placed to the wheel of RAHM despite the efforts of Driver P Ferguson.
Race 7   GRAND PARK HANDICAP TROT
The start was briefly delayed due to WALKINONSUNSHINE requiring attention from the farrier.
BRIENNE - broke at the start losing all chance.
BARSUKOV - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
EAGLE HANOVER - shifted ground outwards on straightening for the run home when Driver J Abernethy attempted to activate gear. Mr Abernethy was issued a warning for his lack of control in this incident. Mr Abernethy advised that the deafeners had failed to activate despite his efforts due to the clip spreading.
NAZARETH - broke briefly at the start and then trotted roughly over the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance Driver Z Butcher could offer no explanation for the disappointing effort.
Race 8   OAKS & DERBY NIGHT 25 APR AT ALEX PARK 2YOF MOBILE PACE
LINCOLN LINDA - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning as placed on the filly's barrier manners. Over-raced middle stages before being taken forward to lead near the 900m.
RIVERGIRL BELLA - weakened final turn. A hopple side carrier came adrift during the running but no action was taken against Co-Trainers R Green & N Delany given that this gear had been taped.
BIG MIKI - hampered near the 50m.
MS COLLINS - broke briefly as the start was effected. Paced roughly near the 1050m. Paced roughly on several occasions in the run home and lay in near the 50m hampering an inside runner.
ANGELIC COPY - lay in near the 900m contacting a track marker. Lay out late in the run home.
