Race 1   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED METRO PACERS SERIES HEAT 2 MOB PACE
SEA OF LOVE - held up early stages of the run home. Driver T Hanara reported that she did not activate the removable deafeners as a result.
TENNESSEEGHOSTPEPPER - broke as the start was effected losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
KEVIN KLINE - raced wide without cover from the 800m. Paced roughly near the 300m.
IN THE SUMMERTIME - slow to score up. Had to be steadied near the 1650m losing ground. Weakened final turn. A post-race veterinary examination including an endoscopic procedure revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance Driver A Harrison advised the gelding raced lethargically throughout. Stewards will follow up with Trainer T Hopkins in the coming days.
CARRERA HOMBRE - over-raced early.
ALWAYS B CHARLIE - raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened leaving the final turn.
MIGHTY FLYING LOU - raced wide early. Contacted a track marker near the 1300m. Driver M White was issued a warning.
Race 2   BORDER FENCING SERVICES MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt when CHRISTIES ART swung sideways hampering trailing runners. The filly was placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
CHRISTIES ART - fractious in the score up however was in position at the start. Had difficulty obtaining clear running early in the home straight and was then held up over the final 50m.
AUNTY ROSE - lay in rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home when attempting to shift wider to obtain clear running.
I CAN TOO - raced wide early and middle stages.
HEARTS N ACES - raced wide early and middle stages.
NEW KID IN TOWN - over-raced near the 1000m becoming awkwardly placed to the sulky of SKYS LEGACY and paced roughly for several strides before continuing to over-race for some distance. Held up early stages of the run home.
SKYS LEGACY - hung out at various stages and in particular rounding the final turn losing ground.
ENZO - broke near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
Race 3   THE GREEN FAMILY JOHN DEVLIN MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
JASINOVA - Driver L Chin reported that he had been unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
CAVIAR NOIRE - weakened final turn.
REWIRI HILL - broke near the 300m losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied this runner had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
WHATS UP THE HILL - switched to a pace shortly after the start losing all chance.
HILLBILLY BLUES - had to be steadied entering the first turn and trotted roughly losing considerable ground.
Race 4   HAPPY 93RD BIRTHDAY COLLEEN EDMONDS MOBILE PACE
JOES ROCK - over-raced middle stages.
TWO EYE SEE - over-raced middle stages.
Race 5   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED METRO TROTTERS SERIES HEAT 2 MOB TROT
CHESINOV - broke racing into the first turn losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
SASSY STAR - over-raced early.
BRIENNE - held up rounding the final turn and broke near the 350m but soon settled. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the off fore which required treatment. The mare was stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
MISS BEBE - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
SANINARMBRO - broke in the score up losing considerable ground and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Broke approaching the 750m losing ground.
ARADNE - held up briefly rounding the final turn.
ITAINTNECESSARILYSO - broke near the 1100m and settled near the 1025m. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 2nd placing firstly under Rule 869A(2) on the grounds of alleged interference to the 4th placed EYRE I WILL by virtue of that runner being obliged to race wide when unable to cross the breaking ITAINTNECESSARILYSO and secondly under Rule 870(2)(c) on the grounds that ITAINTNECESSARILYSO had gained an advantage over EYRE I WILL when failing to lose ground whilst in the break. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest.
LUBY'S LUCK - when questioned regarding the performance Driver M Purdon advised that the filly had lay in at various stages and he was disappointed with the effort.
YUROK - raced wide early. Weakened final turn.
Race 6   ALABAR 3YO CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
BETTORS ANVIL - lay inwards in the run home.
RUBIRA - shifted down into the passing lane inside the 1200m before being corrected back out by Driver M Purdon with trailing runners losing some semblance of order briefly.
Race 7   CADUCEUS CLUB 3YO FILLIES LADYSHIP STAKES MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS B MAGIC - lay in contacting a track marker near the 1300m.
YOURETHEONETHATIWANT - when questioned regarding the performance Driver Z Butcher stated that after getting back in the running the filly had been unable to make up much ground given the closing sectionals.
ALWAYS B MISTY - raced wide early. Weakened final turn.
ONE FOR JAY - raced wide early and middle stages.
BESIDE ME - over-raced early stages. Shifted out rounding the final turn but was corrected by Driver C Dalgety.
DEBBIE LINCOLN - weakened final turn.
Race 8   LINCOLN FARMS FOUNDERS CUP FFA MOBILE PACE
CHASE A DREAM - the required veterinary clearance was received.
MO'UNGA - over-raced early and middle stages. Contacted several track markers near the 1300m when in restricted room after an outside runner lay in. Held up late in the run home.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - lay in near the 1300m. Lay in again rounding the final turn.
KANGO - lay in rounding the final turn.
Race 9   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS GREENLANE CUP HANDICAP TROT
ONE MORE MOMENT - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke near the 850m losing all chance.
ROMEO FOXTROT - weakened in the run home.
AMERICAN MUSCLE - stood on the mark losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld after Driver T Cameron advised that he believed he had been denied a fair start. After viewing the replays Stewards were not sufficiently satisfied that this was the case with Mr Cameron then declining the opportunity to seek a ruling on the matter from the Adjudicative Committee. Placings were duly authorised.
LORD POPINJAY - pre-race warmed. Commenced to over-race approaching the 800m after shifting KYVALLEY HOTSPUR wider on the track. Trotted roughly in the run home when weakening. When questioned regarding the performance Driver M White advised that over-racing in the middle stages had taken its toll.
KYVALLEY HOTSPUR - forced to race wide near the 800m.
OSCAR BONAVENA - slow early. Lay in final turn. Driver M Purdon was advised to start wider when drawn unruly. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 10   ATC SUPPORTS TEAM TEAL MOBILE PACE
OHOKA ACHILLES - weakened from 1000m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Trainer O Gillies in the coming days.
ALLETS - hampered by a weakening runner near the 1000m.
ALWAYS FLYIN - weakened final turn.
THE JOLLY ROGER - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
