For R35 to R50 pacers. Front: R35 to R40. 10m: R41 to R50. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.

R35 TO R55 MOBILE PACE 2000m (Tentative)

Of $11000

For R35 to R55 pacers. This race will be split based on Ratings/Conditions, meaning a higher rating 1-win pacer may be included in the lower rating race. The winner of the highest race will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The stake for the lowest rating race will be $10,000, highest race $11,000.

Special Conditions

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY

    Shall be 5:00pm on the day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS

    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS

    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in the race for which it was nominated to any other race on the programme for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the Club to exercise its right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as nominator to advise the Club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS

    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS

    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP

    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Gore HRC meeting to be held on Friday 27th December 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Final a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Gore HRC, Central Otago TC, Roxburgh TC, Wyndham HRC, Northern Southland TC, Riverton TC, Invercargill HRC and Waikouaiti TC) in the period from 27th December through to 2nd February 2025. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most thirds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then club discretion. 4. The $15,000 Gold Chip Championship held on 9th February 2025 at the Wairio TC meeting will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (Non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
