This race is included in the COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP. This race is also a Northern Regional Pacers Cup Qualifier. Should the winner of the Wairarapa Cup from day 1 of the meeting be then rated above R60, it shall remain eligible for the corresponding race on day 2 of the meeting but shall be driven by a Concession Junior Driver.
