ALL MUSCLED UP - slow early. Checked by a breaking runner entering the first turn having to take evasive action. Broke passing the 250m but soon settled. | |
SCOOTS - broke entering the first turn checking trailing runners losing considerable ground. Lay in contacting track markers near the 1850m and broke losing further ground. Broke on another occasion near the 1250m contacting track markers and then broke again near the 350m when trailing the field. A final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. | |
KISS MY PIXEL - checked by a breaking runner entering the first turn and briefly became entangled in that runner's sulky losing considerable ground. Commenced to weaken near the 500m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a small puncture to the off knee which required treatment. | |

This runner was declared a late scratching at 5.36pm by order of the Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners. After hearing submissions from Trainer D Gale that he would be adding a pacifier to this runner's gear along with a change of driver for the second day a final warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. | The initial score up was aborted after|

DELTA KILO - when questioned regarding his decision to shift away from the leader FRANCO HOFFMAN's back near the 200m Driver W House stated that DELTA KILO had been causing him some difficulty when laying in so he felt it was a better option to shift out on to the back of the improving BLUE CHIP LOU rather than risk contacting the sulky wheel of FRANCO HOFFMAN that appeared to be under pressure. Mr House added that with hindsight he may have been better served to have looked to regain the lead midrace. | |
DREAM ON LOU - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 6.45pm when found to be lame in the preliminary. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming. | |
BLUE CHIP LOU - raced greenly passing the 100m when shifting up the track despite the efforts of Driver C Hackett. |
