Driver N Williamson admitted a charge under Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations, in that he allowed his runner (POUNAMU) to shift into the passing lane for a distance passing the 200m resulting in RYLAN CHARLIE having to be steadied. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 September until the conclusion of racing on 22 September 2024 (2 days).

When questioned regarding the performance of the favoured runner driver S Ottley advised the gelding had paced roughly on the bends and this had been detrimental to its chances.
