Co-Trainer S Telfer advised Stewards on 05 September that both MUSIC MISTRESS and ALWAYS B MISTY have come through last Friday night's abandoned race in good order and have worked well leading into tomorrow night's engagements. Mr Telfer also advised that IRON HEART has been turned out for a spell. |

A post-race veterinary examination at the request of driver N Williamson, who felt the gelding had raced lethargically throughout, revealed a small wound inside the fetlock consistent with striking itself during the running. | |
LIVING THE MOMENT - broke briefly shortly after the start losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M Purvis. | |

Driver N Williamson was issued a charge under Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations, the particulars being that he allowed his runner to shift into the passing lane for a distance passing the 200m resulting in RYLAN CHARLIE having to be steadied. The matter was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee. | |
RYLAN CHARLIE - raced wide early. Held up for clear racing room near the 150m with driver K Tomlinson having to take hold briefly when POUNAMU shifted into the passing lane. | |

TUA LIPA - paced roughly through the early and middle stages losing considerable ground. Returned to the birdcage with blood present on the near foreleg. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to have wounds to both heels on the near foreleg consistent with striking itself during the running. Trainer S Matheson advised the gelding will now be sent for a spell. When questioned regarding the performance of the favoured runner driver S Ottley advised the gelding had paced roughly on the bends and this had been detrimental to its chances. |
