Paced roughly near the 900m and was taken wider on the track before being eased down. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley advised the gelding may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the horse. Mr Thornley advised he would be recommending a shadow roll be applied to the gelding's gear for future starts.

After reviewing the circumstances, Stewards determined that blame could not be attributed to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. Co-trainer N Purdon advised Stewards on 22 May that blood tests taken from LOOK TO DA STARS following its last start did not detect any irregularities. Mr Purdon added that the horse had been unsuited to racing parked over 2600m at its first start back from a spell however has recovered well since.
