Race 1   "NZ WARRIORS RUNNER BONUS BACK AT ADDINGTON" PACE
WILYABRUP - weakened from the 1000m. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. DANCING N HEAVEN - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
NILA MAREE - broke at the start briefly crowding an outside runner losing ground. Driver O Thornley became unbalanced in the sulky passing the 150m after both feet slipped from the sulky footrests for a short distance. Miss Thornley advised the seat had shifted during the running causing her difficulty.
SOVEREIGN LOU - briefly crowded by an inside runner at the start.
ROYAL BELLE - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Driver K Hadfield advised that the mare had paced roughly in the run home.
WAIKAKA - broke racing into the first bend after jumping a shadow hampering trailing runners losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly near the 900m and was taken wider on the track before being eased down. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley advised the gelding may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the horse. Mr Thornley advised he would be recommending a shadow roll be applied to the gelding's gear for future starts.
MELTON MOGUL - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Chmiel advised the gelding had been unsuited to the fast tempo of the race.
MYSTERY BEACH - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver S Ottley advised the gelding was suited to the extra distance of today's race and the return to a standing start with the horse beginning quickly and able to lead.
Race 2   WAH-HINE (ANZAC CLASSIC) FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
ZARLINI - held up early in the run home.
DON'T TELL JENNY - weakened rounding the final bend.
CLASSIE LINC - trainer B Negus was issued a warning for being late to present the mare on course. Unsuccessfully challenged for the lead for a distance passing the 1500m. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened early in the run home hampering trailing runners.

LOTUS FRANCO - hung inwards throughout the run home.
TIME FOR VICTORY - hung inwards in the run home when racing to the inside of LOTUS FRANCO. Trotted roughly near the 50m after the gelding's hind leg made contact with the sulky wheel of DASH DOSH which was racing to the outside of ASPIRATIONAL DREAM. Stewards questioned drivers C Ward (TIME FOR VICTORY), R May (DASH DOSH), C Thornley (LOTUS FRANCO) and J Morrison (ASPIRATIONAL DREAM) regarding this incident. It was established that LOTUS FRANCO and TIME FOR VICTORY had been hanging inwards with TIME FOR VICTORY causing Mr Ward some difficulty, while simultaneously Mr Morrison was shifting ASPIRATIONAL DREAM wider on the track to obtain clear racing room which in turn caused DASH DOSH to be taken slightly wider. After reviewing the circumstances, Stewards determined that blame could not be attributed to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.
LOOK TO DA STARS - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised that racing parked from the 1800m when fresh up from a spell may have taken its toll on the gelding. Mr Orange explained that he was of the opinion both JUKEBOX GYPSY and TEDDY THE TERROR would improve forward to the lead which would leave him in the parked position so felt his best option was to restrain to follow SWEET RAINE to obtain cover, however this did not eventuate when that runner also improved forward to lead near the 1100m.
