Ms Denifostova was spoken to advisedly for using her whip when out of contention in the run home. MIKI'S MOMENT - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead early and then again racing down the back the first time. Lay in near the 1400m placing an inside runner in restricted room. Lay in again under pressure near the 250m contacting track markers.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance Driver D Butcher confirmed that the gelding had over-raced before pacing roughly on the final turn and then showed little when asked for an effort.
