Race 4 - PETER & WENDY FERGUSON MOBILE PACE
The adjourned enquiry was reconvened prior to today's meeting with Driver S Abernethy (STICKIFINGERS) defending the careless driving charge in that he shifted his mare in when not sufficiently clear rounding the first turn which resulted in LEO LINCOLN being checked and losing its position. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and imposed a fine of $250.

BOYZ INVASION - moved forward and breasted the 40m tape just prior to the barriers being released but began safely.
TRIPPY TYRON - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
KOKO KABOOM - pre-race warmed. Driver W House reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to the gelding trotting roughly over the final stages.
MR MONTY - broke near the 2100m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
TINKERBELLE - broke briefly at the start. Broke approaching the 100m.
Race 2   WENDY DEVENPORT STABLES MOBILE PACE
ENZO - paced roughly for several strides near the 1500m. Broke and shifted out near the 400m checking outside runners. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
MOENUI MISS - checked by an inside runner near the 400m and broke losing all chance.
HEARTS N ACES - checked by a breaking runner near the 400m having to take evasive action.
LA MIKI - raced three then four wide from the 800m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
MISS WOODVILLE - raced ungenerously and lost contact with the body of the field near the 1200m.
Race 3   TONY BELL MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
LORTON VALE - Trainer M House was warned for the late notification of the removal of blinds. Broke briefly in the score up but was in position at the start. Driver H Orange was warned for contacting a track marker near the 1650m.
JAHI - lay in and contacted a track marker near the 1650m.
VICTOR BRAVO - raced three wide from the 1150m.
ROBYNS ART - when questioned after this runner had shortened considerably in the betting markets Driver W House advised that he had been unaware of this until after the event and could only attribute it to the mare having made up considerable ground after laying out and galloping at its previous start. Mr House further advised that connections had added a rein burr for today's event and that he felt that ROBYNS ART had pulled up in front in the run home and may be better served driven in behind. Stewards noted his comments.
Race 4   ALLAN & TRINA SHUTKOWSKI STABLES MOBILE PACE
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - Driver W House reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BELL FIRE - paced roughly for a stride passing the 100m after having been shifted wider by DIXIELAND DELIGHT. Driver H Orange was spoken to advisedly in relation to the manner in which he drove in this incident.
RUN MASON RUN - raced wide early.
DIXIELAND DELIGHT - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
Race 5   S & A TELFER STABLES MOBILE PACE
CAPTAIN KOBE - broke in the score up losing ground before settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Raced three then four wide from the 800m.
ADJOURNMENT - lay out over the early and middle stages. Paced roughly after contacting a track marker near the 1300m when in restricted room to the inside of MIKI'S MOMENT which lay in. Forced down in the passing lane briefly passing the 1100m after becoming awkwardly placed to the sulky of MIKI'S MOMENT which was attempting to cross to the lead. Stewards held an investigation into this incident and after hearing evidence from Driver P Ferguson (MIKI'S MOMENT), Junior Driver K Denifostova (ADJOURNMENT), assisted by J Abernethy, and viewing the replays Stewards issued Mr Ferguson with a warning for the manner in which he shifted ground at this stage. Ms Denifostova was spoken to advisedly for using her whip when out of contention in the run home.
BROOKSIDE GIRL - held up final turn.
MIKI'S MOMENT - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead early and then again racing down the back the first time. Lay in near the 1400m placing an inside runner in restricted room. Lay in again under pressure near the 250m contacting track markers.
NAROBI - raced wide early. Weakened final turn.
MATAI HARRY - raced three wide without cover from the 800m.
THE NIGHT FOX - took evasive action late in the score to avoid a breaking runner but was in position at dispatch. Hampered passing the 1100m when having to be steadied.
Race 6   RACING AGAIN TUESDAY 8TH APRIL MOBILE PACE
BETA PREPARE - raced keenly middle stages. Raced wide from the 500m. Paced roughly near the 250m and then failed to run on to finish at the rear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance Driver D Butcher confirmed that the gelding had over-raced before pacing roughly on the final turn and then showed little when asked for an effort.
FREDASTAIRE - over-raced middle stages.
LEWEY MAGUIRE - raced four wide from the 500m.
LEO LINCOLN - over-raced middle stages.
MATAI LIZZIE - when questioned regarding the performance Driver W House advised that he had initially intended to go back from the wide draw but the mare had been too keen so he allowed her to roll forward. Mr House further advised that MATAI LIZZIE had then lay in and over-raced when outside the leader which had taken its toll.
