		MACH QUILLAN - weakened rounding the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance of the gelding Driver N Williamson expressed disappointment however could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slightly elevated respiratory rate. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. Trainer M Brinsdon advised Stewards on 3 February that MACH QUILLAN will be given a brief spell after tiring at the end of its race at Invercargill last Saturday.
