CRUISING FONTANA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C Ferguson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Green. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards near the 900m contacting a track marker.
Race 2   REGENT CAR COURT TROT
MAJESTIC DAUGHTER - lay inwards final bend contacting several track markers. Broke passing the 200m losing all chance.
PHISHING - broke at the start losing all chance.

GARONNE - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly final bend.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - lay inwards on the bend near the 850m contacting several track markers.

PEGGY GEE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Stood down to trial from a standing start on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Broke again near the 2200m losing all chance.
Trainer R Austin advised Stewards on 3 February that FATHER ON DOWN has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 3   CRAIG HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS REAL ESTATE HANDICAP TROT
SPELLS OF LOVE - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
EMILY - tangled away. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
SAMANTHAS MOON - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting a track marker.
FLYING WITHOUT WINGS - lay inwards entering the first bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination including an endoscopic procedure revealed the gelding to have a high heart and respiratory rate and a slow recovery with some inflammation in the lower airway. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days regarding the recovery of the gelding.
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 9 February that he will be sending FLYING WITHOUT WINGS for a freshen up prior to racing next.
Race 4   McKNIGHT & BROWN FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
BETTER BE WATCHING - lay inwards rounding the bend near the 1300m contacting a track marker. When questioned regarding the perceived improved performance trainer H Hunter advised that the mare races well at Ascot Park and had received a run to suit today, adding he was not surprised by the effort.
SUPERFAST - paced roughly first bend.
RAKNRUIN - raced three wide through the middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Barclay advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation.
JENNY GUMP - driver S Walkinshaw was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 5   DIAMONDS DAY 27TH APRIL TROT
STORM CLOUD - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
MAJESTIC ME - fractious prior to the start. Trotted roughly in the early stages. Trotted roughly again passing the 200m before breaking near the 75m hampering a trailing runner losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke shortly after the start briefly hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had viewed the footage and were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
HAIL STONE - weakened from the 700m.
AROHA - briefly hampered by a breaking runner after 100m.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner in the middle stages of the run home. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had viewed the footage and were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
LIL WHIP - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
Race 6   MONICA TORETTO PHOTOGRAPHY MOBILE PACE
DIAMONDSONMYSHOES - lay inwards leaving the first bend dislodging a track marker.
ROSA PARKS - paced roughly at various stages during the running and again rounding the final bend.
NANA'S LITTLE TERROR - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
MYTHICAL - driver T Williams reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SHUFFLE UP - paced roughly entering the first bend. Weakened from the 1500m hampering a trailing runner and was retired from the race by driver B Barclay who could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
ULTIMATE PERFECTION - hampered by a weakening runner near the 1400m.

DRAGON POWER - paced roughly in the score up and through the early stages.
ALWAYS A MENACE - lay inwards in the score up.
Race 8   EH BALL ITM MOBILE PACE
MONTAGE - raced three wide from the 1000m.
EMERALD ABBEY - raced three wide from the 1000m. Hampered by an inside runner near the 400m.
MAGIC SIGN - the required veterinary clearance was received. Raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Broke briefly rounding the final bend hampering an outside runner losing all chance. Stewards questioned junior driver H Douglas, assisted by C Ferguson, regarding this incident. Mr Douglas explained that the gelding had paced roughly rounding the final bend when placed in clear air and when he took a hold the horse lay outwards and broke, making contact with the sulky of EMERALD ABBEY. After viewing the replays and hearing from Mr Douglas, Stewards were satisfied the incident was a result of the manners of MAGIC SIGN and placed a warning on the racing record of the gelding.
MR PRESIDENT - driver B Barclay reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - gave ground for a distance near the 400m hampering a trailing runner.
LOU'S DEAL - broke passing the 1400m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
GEMS DELIGHT - lay in at various stages contacting track markers.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
TASHS BAD GIRL - over-raced in the score up. Held up leaving the final bend.
THE WULVER - over-raced in the score up. Raced wide early.
Race 9   IHIRE MOBILE PACE
DURRANT - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting a track marker. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
STRAIGHT FLUSH - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
NYLA - connections advised the mare would be racing in season. Lay inwards rounding the bends.
OUTBACK MAN - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1500m.
MOLLY BELWIN - raced wide from the 700m.
BEACH DAY - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1300m.
MR CASH MAN - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers. Held up final bend and again over the latter stages of the run home with driver M Williamson reporting he did not release the removable deafeners in consequence.
