Mrs Dolan admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when allowing her runner to strike the wheel of TWO JULES. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Lay inwards and raced inside a track marker at the 300m. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had not gained any advantage when racing inside a track marker.

Held up throughout the run home. Stewards questioned Junior driver S Hill (assisted by R May) regarding his decision to shift outwards instead of waiting to utilise the passing lane near the 250m. Mr Hill explained that he elected to shift outwards early in the run home as a result of KAIRAKI VEGAS which he had been trailing commencing to race greenly and weaken. Mr Hill added that he felt his best option was to shift outwards to follow JENA which was travelling well instead of waiting for the passing lane and being held up. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.

Stewards questioned Junior driver S Hill (assisted by R May) regarding his decision to shift outwards instead of waiting to utilise the passing lane near the 250m. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Anderson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 January 2025 (3 days).
