Driver A Butt (ULTIMATE DREAMER) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Butt's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 26 July up to and including 9 August 2026 (4 days). Mr Butt was also questioned regarding not remaining on course for the required period of time following the race and after hearing his explanation, took the matter no further.

MAMAS CRUNCH - checked by a breaking runner leaving the final bend. Hung inwards and shifted down the track approaching the 100m when driver A Butt activated the removable deafeners having to be corrected hampering an inside runner.
BERRETTINI - checked by a breaking runner leaving the final bend. Hampered by an outside runner near the 100m.
BEACHBREAK - raced wide early. Paced roughly leaving the final bend and broke checking and hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BRANDI SNAPP - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
C C ARDEN - raced wide early. Broke inside the final 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KOWHAI STAR - broke early in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

GO HOME DENISE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
FLYING DREAMS - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the filly had been unsuited to racing in the parked position. Connections advised the filly will be sent for a spell.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.

FUNDRAISER - lay outwards rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
THE BLUE MAJOR - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages.
CHILLI GOLD - junior driver N Burton (assisted by A Butt) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

RANDEL HUSTON P - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the gelding had worked too hard in the early stages with the effort taking its toll.
SILVERLININGS - broke near the 1500m when leading hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
RACHMANINOV - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Weakened from the 700m.
PARIS PRINCE - broke after 100m losing considerable ground.
GEORGE ELIOT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m.

Race 5   BREED WITH WOODLANDS STUD 2026-27 MOBILE PACE
CONAN - lay inwards near the 1050m striking a track marker. Again lay inwards when weakening final bend striking track markers. When questioned regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly advised the gelding had worked hard early to obtain the lead with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
LAST HONOURS - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation.
POSEIDON - over-raced middle stages.
BORD DE LA MER - driver S Hill was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
LILACS LOCARNO - paced roughly after 150m.
WHATA IMPACT - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke near the 600m after the gelding's hind leg made contact with the sulky wheel of LAST HONOURS losing all chance. Stewards spoke to drivers R May (WHATA IMPACT) and J Dunn (LAST HONOURS) regarding this matter and after viewing the replays and hearing their explanation, it was established that WHATA IMPACT had shifted inwards marginally when Mr May had adjusted his goggles due to limited visibility simultaneously to LAST HONOURS laying outwards. After considering the matter no one horse or driver was deemed to be at fault with no further action required.

ARADNE - lay inwards and struck track markers near the 900m losing ground.
NEIL WILLIAM - lay in and struck track markers leaving the final bend.
SWITCH ON - weakened final bend.
CHESTER GOLD - slow in the early stages.
BULLET - slow in the early stages losing considerable ground.
Race 7   MIKE GREER HOMES WINTER REWARDS MOBILE PACE
ULTIMATE DREAMER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver A Butt. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
SCOTLYNN FORTRESS - held up early in the run home.
LOGAN ROCK - shifted inwards racing into the first bend and struck the sulky wheel of WHYAMIHERE. Driver R Close was issued a warning. Over-raced early and middle stages.
OKIWI BAY - briefly locked wheels with FOLIEJON STAR near the 1150m.
HEAVEN - raced wide early.
FOLIEJON STAR - raced wide early. Placed in restricted room near the 1150m briefly locking wheels with an inside runner.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide early. Weakened from the 600m.
DAWN TO DARK - shifted inwards near the 1150m briefly placing an inside runner in restricted room. Driver S Ottley was issued a warning.
