Race 9 - DARREN DEFILIPPI MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
After receiving information from the RIB Betting Analyst, Stewards spoke to junior driver T Duley (DIDN'T DI) assisted by M Purvis, regarding a bet being placed on her betting account. After hearing from Miss Duley, Stewards issued a charge under Rule 505(1) and (4) which was admitted and after hearing submissions from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $600.

Race 1   LISTEN LIVE ON sportnation.nz MOBILE PACE
HEAVEN - held up early in the run home.
IRISH DREAM - hung inwards at various stages throughout and paced roughly rounding the final bend causing driver C DeFilippi difficulty.
ZOOM X - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver A Butt. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   VIP TRADE MOBILE PACE
BELLA CIAO - held up early in the run home.
NANSANA - lay outwards having to be straightened near the 100m. Driver A Butt defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Butt, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $300.
DANCE HALL GIRL - lay inwards in the early stages of the run home. Hampered near the 100m when an inside runner lay outwards.
MOSSDALE MARIE - held up early in the run home. Lay in and struck a track marker near the 100m.
JUSTIFICATION - hung inwards at various stages throughout and paced roughly rounding the final bend. Weakened in the run home.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
TOMOGALAK - hung inwards and struck track markers near the 900m. Hung inwards and lost ground rounding the final bend.
CRUNCHY GRANOLA - broke near the 850m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
RISE N SHINE - over-raced middle stages.
CULTURE VULTURE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m.
EMOCEAN - raced wide early. Again raced wide from the 1400m. Weakened from the 600m.

MIGHTY FLYING MIKI - struck track markers near the 1600m. Over-raced middle stages. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
