Race 1   SOUTHERN PORK NZ AMATEUR DRIVER CHAMPS (HEAT 3) MOB PACE
A false start was declared when LASA broke in the score up and shifted outwards checking trailing runners. Driver B Wilmott elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
LOGAN ROCK - driver A White admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr White's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 August 2026 (6 weeks).

AR GEE RULZ - crowded by an outside runner shortly after the start. Raced wide early.

MOUTON CADET - shifted inwards shortly after the start crowding inside runners. Driver J Kriechbaumer was issued a warning. Mr Kriechbaumer admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Kriechbaumer's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 August 2026 (6 weeks).
BETTOR OFF - forced to race wider on the track near the 950m.
LASA - broke near the 450m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PUTERE BOY - paced roughly entering the first bend losing ground. Hung outwards and raced roughly hampering MONKEE MAJOR and TALLANDFAST near the 950m.
FRANCO ELVIS - raced wide throughout. Hampered near the 450m.

DELILAH - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.

THE BETTOR MAJOR - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver C Negus will be spoken to regarding the manner in which she used her whip in the run home in the coming days.
KOWHAI NUGGET - driver A Sharpe was issued a warning for using his whip on a runner out of contention.

QUEEN OF SWORDS - driver A White advised a sulky tyre punctured rounding the final bend.

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Wigg's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 August 2026 (6 weeks).
LONNEKERS - lay inwards near the 350m when awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of QUEEN OF SWORDS which was shifting ground.
Race 4   ENOS & SPINNER ENJOY GOLF, A DRINK & A PUNT TROT
ROYAL DIEDRE - weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
NIGHT LIFE - broke after 100m losing ground.
JORDAN ANNE - driver C Williamson was issued a warning to maintain a straight course in the run home.
SOLEMN SON - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
ONNAHILL - broke after 100m losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slushy with Trainers advised that mudguards were to be used for the remainder of the programme.
Race 5   TED & DI ENRIGHT MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
DOCTOR TIM - weakened from the 500m.
WATERHOLES ROAD - over-raced early stages. Driver S Tomlinson advised that the sliding blinds did not activate due to the cord becoming entangled. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of connections revealed no abnormalities.
LOUIS - trainer J Gray advised the gelding has been treated for a viral infection since last racing.
THE BEACH HOUSE - held up rounding the final bend.
KING ARTHUR - raced wide early. Weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 6   YOU CAN'T TAKE THE BLAKETOWN OUT OF THE BOY MOBILE PACE
THE GANGSTER - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ULTIMATE DREAMER - held up near the 100m.
SKY NEWS - raced wide early.
SADIE - trainer J Gray advised the mare has been treated for a bacterial infection since last racing. Back from the unruly position at the start and slow in the early stages.
Race 7   COASTER ADMIRES THE GREAT VOLUNTEERS OF RDA TROT
LINDY'S ROCKET - broke at the start losing ground.
HUCKLEBERRY - tangled away. Broke near the 1300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver K Butt advised the gelding had been striking the sulky wheels.
ALOTOFTROUBLE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
SON E - hung inwards when weakening on the final bend.
ISOBEL - co-trainers G & B Hope were issued a warning for being late to notify the mare would be racing without the notified half hopples. Broke after 150m losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
DIEDRE FRANCO - late scratching at 12.30pm on Veterinary advice.

LORD FANTASY - weakened final bend.
MIKI'S COURAGE - raced wide early.
SALUTE - lay inwards in the run home.
DREAM BOYZ - fractious prior to the start and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened from the 500m.
