Race 1   CENTREPOINT & SOUTH CITY LIQUORLAND MOBILE PACE
ARISTA - when questioned regarding the performance driver N Williamson could offer no tangible explanation.
AIM HIGH - lay out in the run home having to be corrected by driver B Barclay.
SURE TO RISE - paced roughly through the middle stages. Lay in rounding the bends.
MACANDREW ROYALE - raced wide early.
Race 2   ASHFORD MOTOR LODGE MOBILE PACE
MAJOR ART - held up rounding the final bend. Lay out in the run home having to be corrected by driver M Holbrough and was unable to be fully driven out in consequence.
SKY PATROL - over-raced when being restrained to take cover in the early stages.
DISCO INFERNO - weakened from the 700m. Driver M Hill reported he had difficulty steering the gelding throughout. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate with a good recovery.
Race 3   WAIKIWI TAVERN TROT
ROYAL AHEARN - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 1600m and broke in consequence, losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
THE GREEK FREAK - commenced to pace passing the 1650m having to be broken up by driver R Stevens hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
JOANY BABY - held up leaving the final bend. Driver D O'Connell reported he was unable to release the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
PHISHING - lay in near the 1300m contacting a track marker.
DIVA BEE - driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Trainer N Williamson also reported that the filly had hung throughout and he would give consideration to making gear changes for future racing.
SHE'S GOT SASS - raced wide early.
WHICH WAY - raced wide early.
ERAGON - slow away. Returned to the birdcage enclosure with blood present in its mouth. A postrace Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a small laceration to its tongue.
KENNY'S MATE - slow away before breaking shortly after the start losing all chance. Stood down to trial from a standing start on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - raced wide early. Shifted up the track on the bend near the 600m.
Race 4   ASCOT SPORTS BAR MOBILE PACE
ROBYNS HUSTLER - contacted the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Stewards withheld authorisation of 3rd placing until they had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had not gained an advantage at this stage of the race. Junior driver M Hill, who declined the assistance of a senior driver, admitted a charge under Rule 869(7A)(a) in that he allowed his horse to contact a track marker near the 200m. After viewing replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $150.
MIKI'S BEAUTY - driver B Barclay reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance trainer C Barron advised the mare had benefitted from a recent freshen up and had received a run to suit today.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - weakened over the concluding stages. Driver K Green reported that the gelding had lay out throughout.
HERE'S JOHNY - raced wide early. Lay in on the bends.
ASK ME LOU - out of position at the start. Driver A Kyle was issued with a warning.
PARADISE VALLEY - held up rounding the final bend.
Race 5   NORTHERN TAVERN MOBILE PACE
ACE OF SPADES - lay out rounding the final bend.
TINDER ROSE - over-raced through the middle stages.
ADMIRAL STEVE - held up in the middle stages of the run home.
SHERGAR - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Green. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
TACT RONIN - back from the Unruly position at the start. Weakened final bend.
Race 6   NEWFIELD SPORTS BAR MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes at the request of Raceday Control.
FOXING EASTON - a pre-race Veterinary examination after being observed to have blood present in its mouth, revealed a small laceration to its tongue with the gelding subsequently cleared to start.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - held up throughout the run home. Driver B Barclay reported he did not release the removable deafeners in consequence.
BOBBIES ROCK - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
Race 7   THE SOUTHLAND SPORTS BAR TROT
A false start was declared when HAIL STONE and BILL BOOTIT breached the barrier strand. A warning was placed on the barrier record of both horses.
HAIL STONE - shifted out shortly after the start placing an outside runner in restricted room. Weakened from the 900m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
OUR SUPERFUND - placed in restricted room shortly after the start then trotted roughly and broke losing all chance.
LIL WHIP - driver B Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
GRANNY ROSE - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced in the early stages.
POPNROCK - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 10.42am.
AH DINNAE KEN - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 8.44am.
STELLA BAY - slow in the early stages. Lay in on the bends.
Race 8   THE AVE MOBILE PACE
TUA LIPA - driver E Barron reported she did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
HAZER - lay in at various stages throughout.
MR PRESIDENT - held up final bend.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - driver R McIlwrick reported that only one removable deafener had released.
Race 9   EDITOR'S CUT MOBILE PACE
SPORTY CHARLIE - driver B Morris reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
CRUISING FONTANA - paced roughly rounding the first bend.
TEN DA TOUCH - over-raced through the middle stages.
TASHS BAD GIRL - out of position at the start. Junior driver N Kyle was issued with a warning.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 4.36pm after being found to be lame in the left hind leg around at the start. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Top
