MOON LIGHT TERROR - weakened final bend.
CRACKASKY - over-raced middle stages.
DONALD TROT - weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality.
Race 2   WINTON'S MIDDLE PUB MOBILE PACE
SURE TO RISE - broke briefly in the score up but was in position at the start.
MALLORY MAGUIRE - required the assistance of a Starting Attendant prior to the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
OHOKA DIVA - weakened from the 500m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality.
BETTER KAST - paced roughly through the middle stages before breaking passing the 1300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 3   HOSPITALITY ROOMS FOR HIRE PHONE 021 351 499 MOBILE PACE
PARADISE VALLEY - briefly hampered near the 1200m. Hampered again rounding the final bend by a weakening runner.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - broke briefly in the score up but was in position at the start. Briefly hampered near the 1200m.
HAROLD HANOVER - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
MONTAGE - contacted the near side sulky wheel of CLAASEE when trailing that runner near the 1200m when driver D Anderson was activating gear, then paced roughly briefly hampering trailing runners. Mr Anderson, assisted by B Williamson, defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and following penalty submissions imposed a fine of $250.
CLAASEE - sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 1200m when contacted by the trailing MONTAGE.
GLENKENICK - briefly hampered near the 1200m.
Race 4   REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
MR PRESIDENT - over-raced through the middle stages.
RAKASANDY - raced wide early.
DARE DEVIL - over-raced through the middle stages.
MATAU MARIA - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
HAZER - over-raced through the early and middle stages.
FOREVER ARDEN - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts at the request of trainer W Adams.
Race 5   NEXT RACE MEETING HERE THURSDAY 22ND MAY MOBILE PACE
STILL ROCKIN - lay in near the 1150m contacting several track markers. Driver R Gutsell was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
BISMARCK DU PLESSIS - lay out at stages throughout.
Race 6   GOODMAN PLUMBING LTD HANDICAP TROT
BILL BOOTIT - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Again hampered by a breaking runner near the 650m.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Broke passing the 650m hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
OUR SUPERFUND - lay in rounding the final bend contacting a track marker.
ERROL D - broke rounding the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke again briefly passing the 1700m losing all chance.
XERION - held up over the concluding stages.
JULIE JACCKA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 650m.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - stood on the mark as the tapes were released and refused to move away with the field taking no part in the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 7   DIAMOND CREEK FARM / SBSR SILK ROAD SERIES HT1 MOBILE PACE
BOMBAY GLACIER - held up final bend.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - lay in on the bends throughout and in particular when weakening rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
DOUBLE QUICK - pre-race warmed.
INSARCHATWIST - broke after 150m losing considerable ground.
REMISSION - held up final bend. Driver S Hill reported that only one removable deafener had released.
