Connections advised Stewards on 4 May ZHUTEE has been treated by a chiropractor since last racing.
Race 5 - DIESEL TECH-ANNE THOMPSON GRADUATION (HEAT 1) MOB PACE
Trainer K Gill advised Stewards on 2 May blood tests taken from HONOUR BRIGHT NOTE revealed a high white cell count which has been treated.
Race 6 - McCONCHIE BUILDERS TROT
Trainer K Gill advised Stewards on 2 May blood tests taken from KERRALLY revealed a high white cell count which has been treated.
Race 8 - WAIMAKIRIRI BUSINESSES RANGIORA WINTER CUP (HCP PACE)
Trainer L Hanrahan advised Stewards on 4 May WOODBINE ROCKS has recovered well since its last start and will continue with the current preparation.
Driver G Thornley (HOMEBUSH LAD) was issued with a warning for allowing her runner to strike a track marker in the run home.

Race 1   RESONATE HEALTH MOBILE PACE
BUDDY REIGN - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead through the early stages.
ANYTIME AT ALL - trainer B Ward was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to present his stable runners onto the track.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Ward advised the mare had been racing well in recent starts before being held up at Addington last week and after receiving an economical run today he was not surprised by the result.
HEY TONIGHT - retired from the race near the 1700m after the saddlecloth number came adrift. Trainer B Ward was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix the number so as not to come adrift.
PATIRO - held up throughout the run home. Driver S Hill advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 2   KEITH WOOLLEY FENCING HANDICAP PACE
HEAVEN - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards through the middle stages. Again hung inwards rounding the final bend striking track markers.
STORMY VISTA - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead through the early stages.
COUNTRY GOLD - broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing ground.
WATERHOLES ROAD - broke at the start losing ground.
MAJOR HIPSTER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Hill could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
Race 3   ANNE THOMPSON GRADUATION SERIES (HEAT 3) TROT
A REASON TO FIGHT - broke at the start losing ground.
JUPITER JEWEL - held up for a distance passing the 700m. Hung inwards and trotted roughly passing the 400m losing ground. Driver L O'Reilly advised he had difficulty steering the gelding throughout.
MAJIC N THE PORT - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1400m losing all chance.
MAROUBRA - driver C Ford was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
MUSCLE DASH - weakened final bend.
SON E - over-raced middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ALL CONQUERED - broke passing the 900m losing all chance.
WHAT THE DRAGON - raced greenly through the middle stages. Returned to the assembly area with blood present in one nostril. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination confirmed the gelding was not a bleeder however a large amount of mucus was found in the trachea. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 4   WEST BELT MOTORS MOBILE PACE
KOWHAI NUGGET - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1500m.
SOFIA ROSE - checked by a breaking runner near the 1500m.
TREMENDOUS SENSATION - checked by a breaking runner near the 1500m resulting in the mare breaking and being retired from the race with two broken hopple connecting straps. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed replays of the start and confirmed that the hopple connecting straps had broken late in the score up. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously satisfactory condition.
DR GACHET - raced wide early. Broke passing the 1500m checking trailing runners losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KOTARE KELSO - checked by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Paced roughly early in the run home.
CARBON - checked by a breaking runner near the 1500m.
Race 5   ANNE THOMPSON GRADUATION SERIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE
BANKSY - held up final bend and throughout the run home. Driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
CRUISE DENARIO - weakened final bend.
JUSTA RIPPA - co-trainers G & B Hope were issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with blinds which had not been notified. Over-raced middle stages.
STREET FIGHTER - raced wide early. Lay outwards leaving the final bend when weakening.
EASY ART - raced wide early.
TALLANDFAST - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Held up early in the run home. Trainer B Negus advised he would be adding hopple shorteners to the filly's gear for future races.
ELEKTRA KING - over-raced rounding the first bend when being restrained to obtain cover.
SHADOW OF THE MOON - late scratching at 9.15am on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 6   THE TYRE GENERAL HANDICAP TROT
SILVESTER - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke passing the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BRIAN BEATT - trotted roughly racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner. Lay inwards rounding the final bend.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m. Held up final bend and early in the run home. Broke passing the 200m losing ground.
HOOF IT HAGRID - weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner.
FIVE MONKEYS - raced wide early.
Race 7   ANNE THOMPSON GRADUATION SERIES (HEAT 4) MOBILE PACE
SLYX - hung inwards in the run home causing driver R May some difficulty. Mr May was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home.
CELESTIAL SEA - raced wide early and middle stages.
SAM SNEAD - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
CHRISTIES ART - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 8   KOTARE DOWNS RANGIORA 3YO STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
TIMES LIKE THESE - driver S Ottley reported the gelding had hung inwards at various stages throughout and she would be recommending gear changes.
SPIRIT DOWNUNDER - over-raced middle stages.
RACK'EM UP - paced roughly in the early stages. Again paced roughly near the 300m having to be steadied losing ground. Continued to pace roughly in the run home.
TREASURE COVE - broke near the 300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
QUEEN TYRON - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 6.30pm on 3 May 2025.
Race 9   AUTO SELF SERVE WAIMAK JUNCTION & GREYWACKE RD MOBILE TROT
LAVRA SEGIL - out of position at the start. Driver M Lewis was issued a warning.
SPANISH PRINCESS - when questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised the mare had appreciated a return to mobile racing and had trialled well since its last start.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke after 200m losing all chance. Driver J Cox reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre after the mare had contacted its own sulky wheel when in a break.
SILVERLININGS - raced wide early. Broke near the 1550m losing ground. Broke again passing the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
TINKERBELLE - held up early in the run home. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - when questioned regarding the performance, driver S Tomlinson advised Stewards that the mare had trotted roughly during the score-up and through the early stages of the race. Miss Tomlinson further explained that the mare was unable to make ground over the final 400m and expressed disappointment with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DASH DOSH - held up throughout the run home. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 10   CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE HEAT 8 (MOBILE PACE)
HOPE FOR LOVE - held up early in the run home.
SARGENT BEST - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver K Butt advised an anti-choke device had been added to the gelding's gear and the horse had raced more tractably today with the race being run to suit.
THE MANDALORIAN - raced wide early.
JUDINE - raced wide early. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
