Race 1   BETAVET THE WINNING EFFECT MOBILE PACE
CLAASEE - held up in the early stages of the run home.
INDIANA ARDEN - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. When spoken to regarding the performance driver M Hurrell advised that after drawing wide the mare was not suited with the fast tempo of the race.
MIDNIGHT BABE - lay in near the 600m contacting several track markers.
DOUBLE QUICK - held up late in the run home.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   CADUCEUS CLUB OF SOUTHLAND TROT
EMILY - hung inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
LA DAMA - raced wide from the 700m.
TOP OF THE HILL - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Broke passing the 200m losing its chance.
LIL WHIP - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
Race 3   GALLAGHER INSURANCE MOBILE PACE
HAROLD HANOVER - paced roughly over the concluding stages.
VERMEER LUSTRE - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide from the 700m. Weakened rounding the final bend.
EMERALD ABBEY - weakened rounding the final bend.
SPORTY CHARLIE - raced three wide with cover from the 750m. The clip broke on the near side number during the running.
DARE DEVIL - placed in restricted room having to be steadied entering the first bend when an outside runner lay inwards.
GLENKENICK - lay inwards entering the first bend placing an inside runner in restricted room. Raced wide early.
HAZER - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards leaving the final bend becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of HAROLD HANOVER.
Race 4   COATS & SCHUCK JEWELLERS HANDICAP TROT
PRACTICAL MAGIC - driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
XERION - weakened final bend.
OUR PINOCCHIO - raced wide early.
SAMANTHAS MOON - lay outwards throughout the home straight and was unable to utilise the passing lane as a consequence with driver K Green reporting she had difficulty steering the mare.
DOMINATION'S CALL - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
ANDY HALL - over-raced when being steadied near the 2100m when there was a slight easing of the pace and made contact with the off side sulky wheel of DOMINATION'S CALL however the tyre did not deflate. Raced wide from the 600m.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - held up rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home.
Race 5   ENTAIN 2YO SOUTHERN CLASSIC (MOBILE TROT)
DUCHESS MARIA - the boring pole broke during the preliminary and was removed prior to the start.
KAIRO - trotted roughly on several occasions during the running. Weakened rounding the final bend..
BREWSTER BAKER - broke near the 150m and continued in a break before settling just prior to the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 5th placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging BREWSTER BAKER had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and BREWSTER BAKER was disqualified by the Stewards.
Race 6   DIAMOND CREEK FARM 2YO CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
BLACKLAZ - paced roughly when being steadied near the 1600m losing ground. Again paced roughly near the 800m.
TREACHEROUS DREAMS - weakened rounding the final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate. Connections advised they would give consideration to sending the colt for a spell.
PATRIARCH - lay inwards rounding the final bend placing an inside runner in restricted room.
RISE N SHINE - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced in restricted room and struck a track marker rounding the final bend when an outside runner lay inwards.
Race 7   NEVELE R STUD/MACCA LODGE SOUTHERN OAKS FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
DELIGHTFUL PEG - driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to the filly pacing roughly in the run home.
NASANA - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover.
UTAH JAZZ - raced wide early.
IMPRESSIVE SHARD - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Continued to hang outwards for a distance. Weakened from the 800m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the filly to be showing signs of muscle tie-up.
TOSANA - held up in the early stages of the run home.
RASPALIA - contacted track markers rounding the final bend when weakening. Driver K Green was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement.
Race 8   FOVEAUX COMMUNICATIONS LTD MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed 1 minute at the request of Raceday Control.
MR CASH MAN - held up leaving the final bend. When asked to comment on the perceived improved performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised he had not been disappointed with the gelding's recent racing and today it was aided by a favourable draw and following a strong tempo which suited.
ALWAYS TICKING - raced wide early.
CAPTAIN STARLIGHT - raced wide early. Weakened from the 1100m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
LOUIES GIRL - raced wide early.
SEASIDE ROSE - raced wide early.
SECRET AGENT MAN - raced wide through the middle stages.
Race 9   ALABAR SOUTHERN SUPREMACY STAKES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
FIVE CROWNS - paced roughly rounding the first bend.
TREASURE COVE - lay inwards and contacted track markers near the 1850m then broke briefly losing ground.
FLASHPOINT - lay inwards on the first bend.
C C ARDEN - raced wide early.
CAPTAIN COMMODORE - raced wide with cover from the 1400m and then without cover from the 1100m. Weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
MALAKAI - raced three wide with cover from the 800m.
ARTFUL BROMAC - raced three wide with cover from the 800m.
Race 10   REGENT CAR COURT SOUTHERN CUPS FINAL (HANDICAP PACE)
MIRACULOUS - broke at the start and shifted outwards shortly after hampering outside runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BOBBIES ROCK - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and again entering the first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
WINNYZBACK - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Forced to race wide from the 950m.
BETTERTHANCASH - over-raced middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
WAG STAR - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke in consequence.
MACANDREW AVIATOR - broke briefly entering the first bend hampering a trailing runner.

AIRWAVES - over-raced middle stages.
DURRANT - raced wide early. Raced wide again rounding the final bend.
RAGAZZO MAJOR - raced wide rounding the final bend.
JENNY GUMP - lay in and struck a track marker when weakening rounding the final bend.
BROOKIES PLAYER - broke in the score up and was back slightly from its Unruly position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Top
