Trainer G Payne advised Stewards on 23 April MELTON MAGNATE has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
Auckland TC - Friday, 11th April 2025
Race 5 - FISHER & PAYKEL MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer R Dunn advised Stewards on 24 April that blood tests taken from ALWAYS B YOU had detected an irregularity which has been treated with the mare having worked well since.

Trainer S Smolenski reported that I DREAM OF JEANNIE has recovered well following her last start. He stated that the mare was unsuited to racing in the parked position and expected the horse to derive significant benefit from the run, having been first-up from a spell.

Race 1   REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
RAGING STORM - raced in restricted room near the 50m when an outside runner shifted in.
BOBBIE'S MAJORETTE - raced greenly through the middle stages.
ROSA PARKS - weakened in the run home.
ADMIRAL STEVE - raced wide early. Weakened in the run home.
MOON LIGHT TERROR - lay in on the bend near the 900m.
SHOWCASE - required the assistance of a Starting Attendant prior to the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Held up in the run home only gaining clear racing room over the concluding stages. Driver S Hill was shown the footage and spoken to regarding the manner he drove near the 50m when shifting ground inwards placing an inside runner in restricted room.
BETTER KAST - raced wide early.
Race 2   IHIRE MOBILE PACE
PARADISE VALLEY - raced wide early.
TASHS BAD GIRL - raced wide early. Lost the off front plate during the running. Junior driver N Kyle was shown the footage of the run home for educational purposes regarding the use of her whip. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful of Miss Kyle's inexperience in relation to race day driving.
RAKNRUIN - held up leaving the final bend and early stages of the run home.
VAN LIBERTY - raced three wide from the 1200m.
FERNZ GOLDY - raced three wide with cover from the 1200m.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m. Stewards questioned driver M Hill regarding the manner he drove near the 1400m when he restrained his runner which allowed PARADISE VALLEY to shift in to take a position in the running line. Mr Hill explained he was aware that if he did not take hold he would have been pushed down to the marker line by the runner to his outside which he felt would have been detrimental to his chances. Stewards noted Mr Hill's comments.
BOMBAY GLACIER - raced three wide with cover from the 1100m.
Race 3   CRAIG & DYLAN HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
SHARE A DREAM - driver M Hurrell reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SWEET DJ - lay out throughout the run home despite the efforts of driver N Williamson.
COSMIC STAR - weakened final bend.
DIAMONDSONMYSHOES - contacted several track markers rounding the final bend. Driver E Barron was issued with a warning.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
HE'S ROBYN - weakened from the 600m. When spoken to regarding the performance driver M Hill advised that the gelding had proved difficult to steer on several occasions throughout however notwithstanding this he was disappointed with the performance. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have some muscle soreness. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 4   CRAIG SELLS AT HARCOURTS HANDICAP TROT
ROYAL AHEARN - lay in on the bend near the 1300m contacting several track markers. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
WHICH WAY - slow away hampering a trailing runner. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
MADISON'S MOON - broke passing the 1250m hampering trailing runners losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SHE'S GOT SASS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
THE HUMBLE ONE - got its hind leg caught in the sulky during the preliminary and fell to the track after standing for a period of time. Underwent a Veterinary examination which revealed the mare to have an abrasion to the left leg, Declared a late scratching at 3.24pm with connections advised THE HUMBLE ONE was stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
JAY BEE HILL - broke passing the 1200m hampering trailing runners losing all chance, proving difficult for driver K Tomlinson to restrain and was eventually retired rom the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - hampered at the start. Raced wide early.
CLOTILDE WAINWRIGHT - raced wide early. Driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
ERAGON - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
THE MERC - raced wide early. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
SHARMA TROUBLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Lay in rounding the final bend contacting a track marker.
Race 5   LADIES WIN A DIAMOND RING HERE ON DIAMONDS DAY MOBILE PACE
HAROLD HANOVER - lay in and contacted track markers near the 1300m. Again contacted track markers near the 900m when an outside runner lay in. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer E Swain advised the gelding had been unlucky in recent races and benefitted from an inside draw today, adding he was not surprised by the forward showing.
COLD PURSUIT - raced greenly and contacted track markers near the 1300m. Lay out on several occasions during the running. Placed in restricted room over the concluding stages.
GLENKENICK - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - lay in on the bend near the 900m placing an inside runner in restricted room.
MONTAGE - raced wide early.
HAVARTI ARDEN - locked sulky stays with CALIFORNIA DREAMING leaving the final bend.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - raced wide rounding the final bend. Locked sulky stays with HAVARTI ARDEN leaving the final bend.
Race 6   EH BALL ITM MOBILE TROT
MC SQUARED - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Continued on in a break and hampered TOP OF THE HILL and GRANNY ROSE rounding the first bend. Lay in when weakening final bend contacting track markers.

GRANNY ROSE - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
SPIRITINTHESKY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Race 7   DIAMONDS DAY THIS SUNDAY MOBILE PACE
MACANDREW ROYALE - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance with the near side hopple centre carrier strap coming adrift as a result. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Paced roughly before breaking again near the 1000m and was retired from the race by driver H Douglas.
DIVINE STORM - held up final bend.
CONQUER CAPTAIN - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
CONQUER ROCK - slightly out of position at the start due to a lack of room late in the score up when the inside runner lay out. Broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened from the 800m and was retired from the race by driver B Barclay who reported that the mare had made abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a good recovery with connections being recommended to have the mare undergo a further Veterinary examination including an endoscopic procedure.
FERNCO NEL - lay in on several occasions throughout the run home having to be straightened by driver K Larsen.
NORTHVIEW OCEAN - driver M Hurrell reported the mare had wind sucked during the running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality however a Caslicks Veterinary procedure was recommended.
