Race 1   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS (MAXIA) TROT
SON E - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the trainer's request.
MA BELLE AMIE - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
RONDO TROUBLE - broke approaching the 100m and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and RONDO TROUBLE was disqualified by the Stewards.
PRINCESS BELLA - connections advised Stewards the mare has been treated for a blood disorder since last racing. The bandage came adrift during the running. No action was taken against co-trainers C & C Dalgety due to the prevailing track conditions and the bandage being sufficiently taped. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised he was not disappointed with the mare's performance given it was its first run back after a lengthy spell.
MADAM PATSY - raced greenly when improving to the lead for a distance passing the 1400m. Hung outwards throughout the run home.
TROUBLE PAT - broke after 100m losing ground. Broke again passing the 1400m losing all chance and was retired from the race.
STAR INVASION - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
BRIGHTMAN - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Lay inwards and broke near the 450m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
SHEEP - slow in the early stages.

Race 4   JULIA, MAREE & STEVIE AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
GIMMESOMELOVIN - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver K Cameron advised that despite racing wide from the 600m he had been disappointed with the effort and would be having blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the results of these tests.
STUNIN SID - raced wide throughout. Weakened from the 700m.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - crowded by an outside runner rounding the first bend.
PATRICE - raced wide early and middle stages. Driver J Curtin was issued a warning for crowding an inside runner rounding the first bend. Weakened final bend.
CRUISE DENARIO - weakened final bend.
VERDUCCI - held up final bend. Driver J Young-Grant admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Young-Grant's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 27 April 2025 (2 days).
SAM SNEAD - raced wide with cover from the 1400m. Broke near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
HONOUR BRIGHT NOTE - over-raced middle stages and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of VERDUCCI near the 1200m.
Trainer K Cameron advised Stewards on 25 April blood tests taken from GIMMESOMELOVIN did not detect any irregularities and he will be continuing with the gelding's current preparation.

CARLIN - paced roughly early in the run home. Held up rounding the final bend.
THE HIGHWAYMAN - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
MIDNIGHT SOPHIA - began awkwardly hampering a trailing runner. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MELTON MOGUL - trainer M Shinn was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
ARTISTIC NUGGET - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
LAY ON MACDUFF - weakened over the concluding stages.

LAVRA SEGIL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m. Raced wide from the 800m. Broke leaving the final bend losing all chance.
KERRALLY - connections advised Stewards the mare has been treated for a virus since last racing. Raced wide throughout. Weakened final bend.
TRANSTASMAN BUBBLE - raced wide early. Broke passing the 1200m losing all chance.
MODE - slow to begin.
TESSAMAE - slow to begin. Trotted roughly passing the 1400m.
CAPPAHA - broke near the 800m losing ground.
POPNROCK - broke near the 900m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Struck track markers before breaking rounding the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DIEDRE FRANCO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m. Raced wide from the 800m.
WAIHEMO HANNAH - raced wide early and middle stages. Broke near the 900m after being hampered by a breaking runner losing ground. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
SWITCH ON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.

MONARCH PRINCE - broke at the start losing all chance.
HOOF IT HAGRID - trainer T Bagrie was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to notify HOOF IT HAGRID would be racing without the notified
sliding blinds. Fractious prior to the start. Driver S Hill was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for striking a track marker near the 300m. Mr Hill reported he dropped his foot from the sulky footrest early in the run home after his seat had slipped.
ZSAZSA BINX - broke leaving the final bend and continued on in a break throughout the run home. Connections advised they would give consideration to sending the mare for a spell.
MAJESDIX - broke at the start losing all chance.
LOVE WALKED IN - connections advised Stewards the mare has been treated for a blood disorder since last racing. Broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Broke again after 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
DARK GHANA - slow in the early stages losing ground. Weakened final bend.
PAIGE - trotted roughly in the run home.
VERY MAJESTIC - fractious prior to the start. Hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
LOTTIE'S MOMENT - trainer J Morrison was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky. Raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver H Orange advised the mare had trotted roughly on occasions and had raced keenly. Mr Morrison advised he was not disappointed with the performance considering the mare was racing up in grade from its last start and had raced wide early before reaching the parked position.
Race 8   JONTY'S JOURNEY CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE MOBILE PACE
GIRLSHAVTIME - briefly hampered by an inside runner early in the run home.
THE HIGHLANDER - lay inwards throughout the run home.
LOGAN ROCK - over-raced early and middle stages.
ROBYNS ART - swung sideways as the field left the pre-race formation hampering trailing runners however was in position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
RAPID RESPONSE - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
COURAGE REACTOR - driver H Orange was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground early in the run home after briefly hampering an outside runner.
HOPE FOR LOVE - raced wide early.
HANOI FRANCO - trainer P Shennan was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified sliding blinds.
LORTON VALE - raced wide early.
Race 9   GAVELHOUSE.COM MOBILE PACE
ARIZONAWILDCAT - shifted outwards marginally early in the run home briefly hampering an outside runner.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout and he was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CHAL VEE POWER - raced wide early.
MIKRA WAVE - late scratching at 11.14am on Veterinary advice.
JUKEBOX GYPSY - driver G O'Reilly was issued a warning for failing to concede his position rounding the first bend when an outside runner attempted to ease him down the track.

LORD FANTASY - trainer S Allen was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
RED WINE KISSES - held up final bend and early in the run home.

Trainer J McDermott advised Stewards on 25 April HES SANTAS EXCUSE has recovered well from its last start and he will be carrying on with the gelding's current preparation.
Race 10   THE HALSWELL "YOUR NEW LOCAL" PACE
DARE DEVIL - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
PURE COURAGE - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
MAJOR HIPSTER - broke at the start. Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded under Rule 870(4)(d) alleging the gelding had failed to lose ground when in a break at the start and had gained an advantage. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and junior driver S Hill (assisted by M Williamson) the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Mr Hill was advised to make a greater effort to restrain his breaking runner.
KUSHITE WARRIOR - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
THE COALMAN - raced wide early.
LONNEKERS - broke passing the 1250m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
ARCHIE - late scratching at 8.04am due to the track conditions.
MAGICAL MAX - weakened final bend.

The start was delayed due to the protest in the previous race.
The start was further delayed due to the Starter not being satisfied with the manner in which the horses addressed the barrier strand.

LINDY'S ROCKET - raced wide from the 900m. Weakened final bend.
BODACIOUS - slow to begin. Broke leaving the final bend losing all chance.
GO HOME DENISE - broke at the start losing all chance.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Broke near the 900m losing all chance.
