LIGHT O LOVE - broke at the start losing ground before settling.

Race 2   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
BOOT SCOOTIN BOOGIE - weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Driver J Brownlee was warned for using his whip when out of contention and also with more than a wrist flicking motion. Mr Brownlee was also queried regarding his tactics over the early and middle stages when, after having worked hard when attempting to hold the early lead, he then allowed his mare to race clear in the lead down the back straight on the first occasion when he had the opportunity to steady the tempo so as to give his runner some respite. Mr Brownlee stated that although this was BOOT SCOOTIN BOOGIE's first start back from a spell the mare had trialed on four occasions and felt that she should of been competitive with the sectionals recorded. After considering the matter Stewards issued a warning on this occasion and advised Mr Brownlee that he would be expected to show better judgment given similar circumstances in the future.
NEYMAR - cast a hind shoe en route to the course with the remaining hind shoe being removed prior to the start. Back from position at dispatch. Driver K Hall was issued a warning. Broke rounding the first turn losing all chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
MR WONDERFUL - weakened rounding the final turn.
ONETANGI GIRL - Trainer J Abernethy was warned for not having the correct colours available. Weakened rounding the final turn.

KAWACTUS - weakened leaving the final turn.
AUCTIONEER - broke after contacting the sulky wheel of ULTIMATE MACH near the 500m when that horse commenced to shift ground outwards checking trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
