Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
WATERHOLES ROAD - driver J Buckland-Stevens admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Buckland-Stevens' Amateur driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 21 May 2025 (6 weeks).
MILEY ACE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened from the 600m.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - driver C Negus defended a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b) and (c) alleging she shifted outwards near the 1500m forcing FRANCO HOFFMAN to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mrs Negus the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $250.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - raced wider on the track near the 1500m when an inside runner shifted outwards. Weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with trainer M House in the coming days.
OFF THE EDGE - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   GARRARDS TROT
SUPERFAST GORSEY - trainer C Thornley was warned for being late to present the gelding on course. Trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Broke near the 400m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MEANDAD - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
GINAS MAJESTY - slow to begin. Weakened leaving the final bend.
ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL - trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 3   ALLIED SECURITY MOBILE PACE
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - held up until late in the run home. Driver W House advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
LORD MUDRICK - held up in the middle stages of the run home.
FAST ACE - driver R Cameron was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
BELMONT VALOR - hung inwards and struck the sulky wheel of FAST ACE when shifting outwards near the 200m despite the efforts of driver G Thornley. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer D Williamson advised the gelding had over-raced at its last start and been held up in the middle stages of the run home. Ms Williamson added the horse had also benefited from a gear change and receiving an economical run tonight.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - raced wide from the 1100m. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
THE HIGHLANDER - raced wide with cover from the 1100m. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
WIND IN THE WIRE - raced wide early.
HE'S TOUGH - briefly crowded when runners either side shifted ground near the 100m.
Race 4   WOODLANDS STUD SUPPORTS MARES MOBILE PACE
SEARING LIGHT - held up rounding the final bend.
OKIWI BAY - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Mowbray advised the mare had been racing better than its form suggested, adding he had changed the shoes and the horse had been suited by the strong tempo of the race.
DON'T TELL JENNY - trainer R Houghton was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified pacifier. Raced wide early.
MY TEN GUITARS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 5   TRACKSIDE DINING AVAILABLE 9TH, 16TH & 23RD MAY MOBILE PACE
OAKLEY SHARD - held up throughout the run home.
CHAL VEE POWER - raced wide early. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
TERROR MA SUE - raced wide from the 1000m.
LETS GET TROPICAL - raced wide early. Weakened early in the run home.
ESTER LUCY -raced wide from the 1100m.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - over-raced early stages.
SWEET DREAMS - raced wide early.
Race 6   HYDROFLOW TROT
DEM BONES DEM BONES - crowded racing into the first bend when an outside runner shifted inwards.
THE BLOSS - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Borcoskie advised he was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation.
BRIANNA - shifted inwards racing into the first bend crowding DEM BONES DEM BONES. Driver D McCormick was issued a warning. Over-raced middle stages. Struck and punctured the sulky tyre of KISS ME KATE near the 600m. Mr McCormick admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McCormick's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 April up to and including 25 April 2025 (2 days). Mr McCormick also admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein rounding the final bend and again early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McCormick's driver's licence from 26 April up to and including 30 April 2025 (2 days).
KISS ME KATE - over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 600m. Driver B Munro reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 7   BOOK NOW FOR ANZAC DAY RACING & LEAGUE MOBILE PACE
VISCOUNT BANNER - hung inwards when weakening rounding the final bend striking track markers.
FLOOZY SUZY - weakened final bend.
MELTON ENFORCER - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 700m.
BRONSKI - paced roughly rounding the first bend.
Race 8   GOLD BAND TAXIS PACE
A false start was declared when TIMBIMBOO and SARGENT BEST backed away. A warning was placed on the barrier record of both runners.
A second false start was declared when the barrier strand failed to release with the barrier being hand held for the third attempt at a start.
SANTANNA MACH - held up over the concluding stages.
ULTIMATE COUNSEL - weakened in the run home.
TIMBIMBOO - the anti choke device was removed prior to the restart.
SARGENT BEST - raced wide early. Junior driver H Douglas was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
STAR MAGIC - raced wide early.
