After reviewing the footage and further analysis of driver K Green's (HACKSAW RIDGE) evidence as to her tactics near the 1800m when restraining the gelding allowing an inside runner to obtain a run in the one out line, Stewards concluded that Ms Green's actions at the time were reasonable, given the manner in which the horse had been racing and the circumstances she faced after being unable to secure the lead. Consequently, no further action was taken. |

WARD LAMON - shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages. Driver K Larsen admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) that he drove carelessly near the 1200m when allowing his horse to make contact with the near side sulky wheel of TROJAN PRINCESS resulting in the tyre puncturing and coming off the rim. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. |

CRUISING FONTANA - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Sent to the Unruly position by Starter B Ward where the gelding will remain for future standing starts. | |
MR PRESIDENT - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1200m losing ground. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking at the start and during the running. | |

CHEZZ DALE - a post-race Veterinary examination including an endoscopic procedure at the request of connections revealed the gelding to have some low grade inflammation which did not require treatment. | |

LOUIES GIRL - Stewards questioned driver C Ferguson regarding the tactics he adopted for a distance from the 600m when electing to sit behind a tiring runner. Mr Ferguson explained his mare had been hanging on the bends and he was reluctant to go forward and be forced wider on the track at this stage of the race, adding he would be recommending gear changes to connections. Stewards noted Mr Ferguson's comments. |

ALWAYS ON SALE - shifted inwards near the 1200m and made contact with the legs of FLYING BIRD which was checked and broke in consequence. Junior driver E Barron, assisted by C Barron, admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $350. |
