Race 1   PALAMOUNTAIN ANIMAL NUTRITION HANDICAP TROT
ANASTASIA ASHLEY - broke briefly at the start. Broke again near the 900m when shifting an outside runner wider losing all chance.
MR MONTY - shifted out at the start hampering an outside runner. Broke rounding the first turn losing considerable ground and trailed the field throughout. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
TINKERBELLE - hampered shortly after the start by an inside runner and broke briefly.
TRIPPY TYRON - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m and contacted several track markers when in restricted room.
HENRIK LUNDQVIST - over-raced early and middle stages before being taken forward to lead near the 1600m. Lay in and contacted a track maker near the 1150m. Broke near the 500m and was taken up the track to avoid trailing runners before settling. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
QUERCUS RUBRA - reared as the barriers were released and then broke briefly losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Broke passing the 1600m losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the mare's racing manners.
SWEET OLIVIA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350m. Driver C Hackett reported that she did not activate the removable deafeners due to the mare trotting roughly in the home straight.
KD ROYALTY - Trainer D Gale advised that the mare would be racing in season. Broke near the 400m losing its chance.
Race 2   HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHYS BAKER MOBILE PACE
ENZO - paced roughly passing the 100m and then broke briefly before shifting out hampering LA MIKI with MOENUI MISS being checked and breaking. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and also that the interference to the 5th placed LA MIKI had not affected the placings. A final warning was placed on the racing manners of ENZO. A hopple middle carrier came adrift inside the final 20m and Stewards were satisfied that this was not the cause of the break but may have occurred as a result so took the matter no further.
LA MIKI - hampered passing the 100m.
CHEVAL NOIR - paced roughly entering the first turn. Over-raced middle stages.
DIXIELAND DELIGHT - raced wide early before securing a position midfield in the running line.
JETASI - raced wide early before securing a position towards the rear in the running line.
WHITEBAIT DELIGHT - back from position at the start. Driver H Orange was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Lost ground rounding the final turn.
MISS WOODVILLE - Trainer A Pyers was warned for presenting the mare with an incorrect saddlecloth. Over-raced middle stages. Mr Pyers reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
INDISPOSED - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period and was cleared to start. Held up final turn and early stages of the run home. Driver M Hay reported that the removable deafeners failed to activate despite his efforts.
MOENUI MISS - checked and broke near the 50m.
Race 3   MANAWATU ITM MOBILE PACE
BETA PREPARE - lay in and paced roughly early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Abernethy confirmed that the gelding had paced roughly but was disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
GOORAMBAT ART - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1450m.
Race 4   CITY OF PALMERSTON NORTH FESTIVAL CUP MOBILE PACE
FREDASTAIRE - Driver J Abernethy advised that the gelding had shifted in and paced roughly for a stride entering the first turn when he had turned his whip away and gone for another grip. Over-raced middle stages.
LORD DELMAR - lay out rounding the final turn.
LE MAJOR - raced wider briefly near the 1450m after LEO LINCOLN shifted out from the marker line. It was established that Driver P Ferguson (LEO LINCOLN) had commenced his shift prior to LE MAJOR reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
JOES ROCK - held up throughout the run home with Driver K Coppins not activating the removable deafeners as a result.
Race 5   MKM ORIGINALS MOBILE PACE
ADJOURNMENT - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
Race 6   BASE SOLUTIONS MOBILE PACE
THE ELITE ATHLETE - held up late in the run home.
NAROBI - held up briefly final turn. Slipped its overcheck during the running.
HIT THE LIGHTS - over-raced early and middle stages. Raced wide without cover from the 950m.
ONYX SHARD - raced wide with cover from the 900m.
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - over-raced middle stages.
BUGALUGS - Driver S Abernethy reported that he received a punctured sulky tyre near the 950m when contacted by the over-racing MILLION DOLLAR CHIC. Stewards took no action against Driver C Hackett (MILLION DOLLAR CHIC) on this occasion given the circumstances.
Race 7   T MARKET FRESH MOBILE PACE
BAILEYS PITCH - over-raced middle stages.
PLAY THE ACE - raced wide without cover from the 1200m and was then obliged to remain wide when unable to secure the position outside the leader which was being held by JAHI. Weakened in the run home.
