Driver L Dobbs (PHANTOM SPUR) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dobb's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 April up to and including 6 April 2025 (2 days).

Race 1   SIMS BAKERY MOBILE PACE
DR GACHET - lay outwards in the run home. Driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BAILEYS PLEASURE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
FOX TERROR - trainer B Negus (represented by M Holbrough) admitted a breach of Rule 865(2) in that he presented the gelding to race without the notified sliding blinds. After considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $150.
Race 2   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS TROT
WANNA PLAY A GAME - driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
POPNROCK - broke near the 250m losing all chance.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - raced wide early.
SILVESTER - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
KOKO KABOOM - pre-race warmed. Trotted roughly on several occasions during the running.
SPANISH PRINCESS - slow to begin.
GOLD NUGGET - broke rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
NIAMH - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
DRAGONHILL - switched to a pace after 100m losing all chance and was retired from the race.
Race 3   McCORMACK DECORATING MOBILE PACE
STAR MAGIC - trainer G Smith was issued a warning for not having the correct colours available.
OKIWI BAY - connections advised the mare has been treated for a cold since last racing. Held up early in the run home.
JAZZY STYX - held up early in the run home.
TIMBIMBOO - when questioned driver R Close was unable to offer any tangible reason for the performance.
MIKRA WAVE - paced roughly racing into the first bend. Held up early in the run home.
NOT OVER - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1500m.
Race 4   ROSEBANK LIFE CARE (MARES) MOBILE PACE
A GIRL NAMED VINNY - lay inwards throughout the run home.
MAJOR PERFORMER - paced roughly in the run home before breaking over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 5   SCENIC HOTEL GROUP MOBILE PACE
OAKLEY SHARD - lay inwards throughout the run home.
SPIRITUAL BLISS - over-raced early stages.
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - wheel contacted shortly after the start which deflated.
WATERHOLES ROAD - over-raced shortly after the start and despite the efforts of driver S Tomlinson contacted the sulky wheel of DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Held up early in the run home.
RED WINE KISSES - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up in the coming days.
WIND IN THE WIRE - driver C McDowell admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McDowell's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 4 April 2025 (2 days).
SACETAS - trainer T Bagrie was warned for the late notification that the gelding would be racing with a pacifier.
Race 6   MATT SMITH CONSTRUCTION TROT
SUPERFAST GORSEY - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Broke leaving the final bend and continued on in a break for a considerable distance losing all chance.
JUST CHARLIE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
PHANTOM SPUR - broke near the 1900m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke again near the 1200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
RANDEL HUSTON P - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m.
Race 7   DIAMOND PAINTERS & DECORATORS MOBILE PACE
TOUCH N GO - held up early in the run home.
RAPID RESPONSE - over-raced early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised the gelding had failed to settle throughout and may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
KING ARTHUR - over-raced middle stages.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - raced wide early.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly passing the 100m when shifting wider on the track to obtain clear racing room.
