ikWgnYw23pc KOWHAI NUGGET - when questioned regarding the performance driver R May advised the gelding had travelled well however had failed to respond when placed under pressure and he was disappointed with the effort.
HI HOPES - lay outwards and shifted up the track in the run home when leading. Notwithstanding this driver S Hill was issued a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future.
EASTWOOD DREAM - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200m. Weakened early in the run home. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SHINE ALL OVER ME - late scratching at 7.10pm on 15 March on veterinary advice.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - trainer B Ward was issued a warning for being late to present the mare on course. Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
JOSE QUIVERA - raced wide early stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance driver R Cameron advised the gelding races well on the grass and had benefited from a freshen up since last racing and a drop in class today.
MIKRA WAVE - held up leaving the final bend.
LUNA DOLCE - paced roughly in the run home.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - over-raced early and middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
TOPAZ - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.

MA BELLE AMIE - briefly hampered by an inside runner at the start.

ALDEBARAN REDWOOD - held up early in the run home. Driver C DeFilippi had difficulty activating the removable deafeners in the run home. Hung inwards inside the final 100m having to be corrected on several occasions by its driver. Mr DeFilippi admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 23 March up to and including 30 March 2025 (3 days).

CRUISE DENARIO - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced greenly near the 1200m.

MELTON ENFORCER - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - driver S Hill was issued a warning for being late to arrive at the start area. Paced roughly at various stages of the run home.
MIDSUMMER DREAMING - over-raced middle stages.
TWO JULES - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Anderson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Had to be steadied near the 1200m when there was a slight easing of the pace.

ALMIGHTY CLEVER - shifted outwards near the 1400m and raced wide from the 1300m. Junior driver R Harrison (assisted by S Ottley) admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that she shifted outwards near the 1400m forcing WOODLEA DIAMOND to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200. When questioned regarding the performance Miss Harrison advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout and been disappointing. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
HOPE FOR LOVE - raced wide until reaching the parked position at the 1200m. Weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised that after working hard to obtain a forward position the effort had taken its toll.
HEY TONIGHT - raced wide from the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
SPIRITUAL BLISS - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Again raced wide from the 800m.
LOUIS - paced roughly as the start was effected. Raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages
RAZORS EDGE - raced wide until reaching the parked position at the 900m.
LOGAN ROCK - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
MILEY ACE - held up early in the run home.
VRILO - held up early in the run home.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - raced wide from the 1500m and forced wider on the track near the 1400m when ALMIGHTY CLEVER shifted outwards.
Following this race the track was upgraded to Good.

There was a further delay to the start after NOAH MAGNIFIC required a change of sulky after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre.
PRINCE TEKA - broke briefly shortly after the start.
MONARCH PRINCE - raced wide early. Held up early in the run home.
MUSCLYNN - driver P Wakelin admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Wakelin's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 23 March 2025 (2 days).

SILVESTER - trainer G Telfer was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with the incorrect number. Broke after 100m losing ground. Broke briefly near the 1550m. Broke again leaving the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SPANISH PRINCESS - trainer G Telfer was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race with blinds which had not been notified. Stood on the mark at the start checking a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MODE - raced wide early.
GOLD NUGGET - broke after 150m losing ground, A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - raced wide early.
POPNROCK - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1700m.
MOA MOJITO - pre-race warmed. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1700m. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
TESSAMAE - checked shortly after the start losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver B Borcoskie and Stewards had viewed replays of the start and were satisfied that the interference had occurred after the barrier strand had been released and accordingly TESSAMAE was declared a runner.

COUNTRY GOLD - raced with only one number after the other number had broken.
SHE'S TOUGH - held up leaving the final bend.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Over-raced middle stages and again when leading around the final bend. Weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope advised the gelding had over-raced in the parked position through the middle stages before improving to the lead with the effort taking its toll.
DONE ROCKN - struck a track marker leaving the final bend. Driver C Thornley was issued a warning.

GRANNY ROSE - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BEVRON - raced wide early. Lay inwards and struck track markers leaving the final bend.
EDWARD LONGSHANKS - lay inwards passing the 1600m striking track markers.
ZSAZSA BINX - crowded and struck a track marker near the 800m. Lay inwards and struck track markers leaving the final bend when weakening hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised the mare had to work hard when improving in the middle stages with the effort taking its toll.
BARRYTOWN - raced wide early. Trotted roughly late in the run home.
SWITCH ON - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
PYRAMID ROSE - lay in and briefly crowded an inside runner near the 800m.

Wt57Esmx9fU A false start was declared when TAKETHEPLUNGE broke in the score up checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver B Orange elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. A second false start was declared after TAKETHEPLUNGE broke again in the score up checking a trailing runner which was unable to take up its allocated position. Acting under the Starting Regulations 22.4 Stewards declared TAKETHEPLUNGE a late scratching for causing two false starts. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts and must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards from a mobile start on one occasion prior to resuming.
JACK TAR - hampered when an inside runner shifted outwards near the 100m.
FAREWELL SPIT - struck a track marker near the 1600m. Driver R Close was issued a warning.
DON'T TELL JENNY - underwent a veterinary examination prior to the restart after rearing and landing awkwardly and was cleared to start. Hampered when an inside runner shifted outwards near the 150m.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - over-raced middle stages. Broke leaving the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
LASA - weakened leaving the final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days,
ECHAPPE - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
JUST ASK PADDY - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver G Thornley was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground outwards after briefly hampering outside runners in the run home.
