Race 6 - GOLDEN GAIT 2025 - ENTER YOUR HORSE NOW MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer M Purdon advised Stewards on the 28 February that blood tests taken from DEMON BLUE had revealed low iron levels which have been treated with the gelding continuing its preparation.

Stewards concluded the adjourned investigation into the breaking of HAWTHORNDEN BEACH near the 1550m with Junior Driver L Hibell (assisted by N Chilcott) being issued with a warning for the manner in which she drove on this occasion. In considering the matter Stewards were mindful of this runner's recent record and that the gelding's manners may have contributed to the incident.

Race 1   HARNESS MILLIONS FRIDAY 21 MARCH AT ALEXANDRA PARK MOB PACE
The start was briefly delayed due to the overcheck on MANTRA requiring attention.
TUGAWAR - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MANTRA - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
INFAMEE - weakened leaving the final turn. When questioned Driver J Dickie advised that the midrace effort to improve around to race in the parked position from the 1000m may have taken its toll.
KEVIN KLINE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start losing ground.
MESSENGER BUOY - raced wide early. Held up early stages of the run home.
Race 2   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS HANDICAP TROT
ARADNE - broke at the start and shifted out hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Raced wide from the 900m.
SANINARMBRO - when questioned regarding his decision to shift out off the leader's back near the 700m Driver R Downey stated that the mare had raced keenly in what was her first start back after being freshened so he elected to shift out when ITAINTNECESSARILYSO commenced to improve to his outer in the hope that his runner would settle however the tempo had increased appreciably at this stage with SANINARMBRO dropping the bit as a result.
ULTIMATE MOMENT - broke at the start losing ground.
ITAINTNECESSARILYSO - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Lay in contacting a track marker final turn.
VORONOV - hampered at the start.
ROMEO FOXTROT - lay in noticeably rounding the first turn. Lay in again contacting a track marker final turn. Driver H Orange reported that he didn't activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
NAZARETH - when questioned regarding the performance Driver Z Butcher advised that this runner had travelled off the bit over the early and middle stages before losing ground near the 800m then trotted roughly rounding the final turn and only finished on fairly when placed under pressure in the run home.
Race 3   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS B MAGIC - shifted out from leader's back and was taken forward passing the 1400m to see if the lead was available before being restrained back to the trailing position.
ST JOHN EIGHT - raced greenly and shifted out near the 150m having to be straightened by Driver A Poutama.
ANN FRANK - lay out racing through the straights. Broke near the 950m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
HEARTS N ACES - weakened in the run home.
SECRET BID - back from position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver T Hanara. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Paced roughly racing through the front straight to receive the bell. Weakened from the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high respiratory rate. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 4   NATIONAL STYLE STAKES FRI 25 APRIL AT ALEX PARK TROT
HILLBILLY BLUES - Driver T Herlihy was questioned regarding the manner in which he shifted ground entering the first turn when improving away from the marker line which resulted in BRIENNE appearing to race wider on the track briefly. Mr Herlihy stated that he felt that he had commenced his outward shift prior to BRIENNE reaching the parked position and after viewing the replays Stewards took the matter no further on this occasion. Lay out throughout the run home despite the efforts of Mr Herlihy.
REWIRI HILL - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke rounding the final turn losing its chance with a clip on the undercheck became detached while in the break.
MISS BEBE - begun awkwardly.
BANGKOK BETTY - weakened final turn.
Race 5   NORTH ISLAND STANDARDBRED BREEDERS ASSOCIATION MOB PACE
ALWAYS B MISTY - paced roughly rounding the final turn losing ground.
IRON BRIGADE - lay in late in the run home having to be straightened by Driver J Dickie.
Race 6   HR FISKEN & SONS NORTHERN TROTTING BREEDERS STAKES HCP TROT
SANS AU REVOIR - hampered when held up by a weakening runner from the 500m.
IT AIN'T ME BABE - lost contact with the leader near the 800m which allowed AMERICAN MUSCLE to shift down into a trailing position. Weakened from the 500m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed an entrapped epiglottis. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
JASINOVA - shifted out on straightening for the run home when Driver L Chin was unable to activate the removable deafeners when the cord became entangled. Dr Chin was reminded of his obligations to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course given similar circumstances and to report any gear malfunctions to Stewards as soon as practicable in the future. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
WALKINONSUNSHINE - pre-race warmed.
HIGH ENERGY - had to shift ground wider to obtain clear running in the home straight.
BELLE NEIGE - raced wide from the 750m and was under pressure rounding the final turn before failing to run on. When questioned regarding the performance Driver C Hackett could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Connections advised that they will be have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
Race 7   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION MOBILE PACE
GREASED LIGHTNIN - paced roughly passing the winning post on the first occasion.
SKIPPER - Trainer/Driver T Herlihy advised that he had been unable to fit the removable deafeners prior to the score up and will be making a gear change prior to resuming.
INVISIBLE - raced wide early.
OHOKA CONNOR - Driver T Williams advised the gelding had cast the off fore shoe in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Williams stated that he was disappointed given the drop in grade but expected that the gelding would derive some benefit from the run.
Race 8   BORDER FENCING SERVICES TROT
IM A ROCKSTAR - late scratching at 9.24pm by order of Stewards after refusing to go on to the track. Trainer S Green advised that the gelding would return to the trials prior to resuming.
ROYAL PETITE - shifted outwards at the start losing ground. Broke final turn losing all chance.
MONARO MEG - broke at the start losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer/Driver D Ferguson advised that he was disappointed with the effort.
KISSMEILOVEYOU - broke approaching the 400m losing all chance.
HAYLEY MHOR - commenced to over-race before being taken forward to lead near the 1300m.
MAJESTIC CRACKER - pre-race warmed.
