Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
FAST ACE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver D Roberts. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GLIDING HIGH - held up early in the run home. Driver J Buckland-Stevens advised she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. When questioned regarding the performance Mrs Buckland-Stevens advised the gelding had got further back than anticipated in the running due to only having moderate gate speed however had been pleased with the performance once obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
HE'S TOUGH - lay inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver C Negus advised the gelding had benefitted from being able to race handy compared to recent starts when getting too far back in the running.
Race 2   LIVAMOL MOBILE PACE
THE HIGHLANDER - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver S Tomlinson advised she did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
ESSENCE OF EASTON - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Out of position at the start. Driver R May was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Mr May could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
ONELOVEONELIFE - paced roughly rounding the final bend and in the run home when weakening. The menzel spreader broke during the running. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near front leg which was treated. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD THANKS BUYERS HANDICAP TROT
GLENFERRIE DASH - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
BILLY KIMBER - trotted roughly in the early stages.
KAMILLA - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
BELLA LINDENNY - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Broke near the 700m losing all chance.
PENELOPE HALL - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
KOKO KABOOM - broke after 100m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
MEANDAD - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised the gelding had peaked on its run over the concluding stages and expected the horse would derive considerable benefit after not having raced for a month.
PEAKNMONKEY - back from its unruly position at the start. Slow in the early stages losing ground.
KISS ME KATE - shifted outwards in the run home when leading. Driver B Munro was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
Race 4   ANZAC DAY - RACING & LEAGUE BOOK NOW MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start due to MILEY ACE getting its hind leg over the hopple connecting strap.
MILEY ACE - hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 650m.
KAWACTUS - weakened from the 650m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Cameron could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
BELMONT VALOR - lay inwards early in the run home briefly making contact with HE'S A BAY despite the efforts of driver C Thornley.
MY TEN GUITARS - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer G Dunn advised the race had been run to suit and the mare had appreciated a drop in grade from recent starts.
SWEET DREAMS - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
HE'S A BAY - weakened early in the run home.
ONWARDSANDUPWARDS - when questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised the mare had benefited from a drop in grade from recent racing. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of trainer A Edge revealed the early signs of a respiratory infection which will be treated.
FOURTH AMENDMENT - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and signs of muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
KNOCKSHANBALLY - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide early.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 650m.
Race 5   YABBY DAM FARMS TROT
TINKERBELLE - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Briefly crowded by an outside runner leaving the final bend and struck a track marker. Weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley could offer no explanation other than to advise she expected the mare would derive considerable benefit from the race after being freshened since its last start.
CROWN THE MOMENT - held up early in the run home.
MISS GRACIE - lay inwards leaving the final bend briefly crowding an inside runner. Trotted roughly in the run home when weakening.
WHISPERING OVER - lay inwards in the run home.
OPAWA PEAK - lay inwards near the 500m striking a track marker. Trotted roughly final bend.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - broke near the 100m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 6   BOOK NOW FOR TEAM TEAL FUNDRAISER 14TH MARCH MOBILE PACE
LOUIS - held up early in the run home. Hung outwards near the 175m and was unable to be shifted down the track despite the efforts of driver R May with the gelding continuing to be held up until late in the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer J Gray advised the horse had benefited from having its hocks treated recently as previously reported and had been checked at its last start.
DARBY - trainer T Yesberg advised the mare would be racing without a front shoe. Broke briefly racing into the first bend. Weakened from the 500m.
LETS GET TROPICAL - weakened final bend.
OAKLEY SHARD - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards in the run home.
TAKETHEPLUNGE - driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 7   STUDHOLME BLOODSTOCK THANKS 2025 SALES BUYERS MOB PACE
ROCKCENT - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend. Driver C Markham was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
DREAM BOYZ - raced greenly near the 1200m.
GOOD TIME BETTY - paced roughly before breaking passing the 800m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke again passing the 400m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Chmiel advised the mare had paced roughly at various stages throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a small abrasion to the right front coronet band.
MIDSUMMER DREAMING - hampered by a breaking runner near the 800m. Weakened final bend.
NORMIE STEAD - hampered by a breaking runner near the 800m.
Race 8   GOLD BAND TAXIS PACE
The start was delayed due to the Starter not being satisfied with the manner in which the horses addressed the barrier strand.
WIND IN THE WIRE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
INTERPOL - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards final bend striking a track marker. Paced roughly in the run home when weakening.
WATERHOLES ROAD - held up early in the run home.
HOLLY K - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Paced roughly final bend when weakening.
GEM N EM - when questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised the mare had appreciated a return to all weather track racing and had begun quickly to lead and dictate terms throughout.
MOET SHARD - held up early in the run home. Driver L Whittaker was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
