Race 1   MICHAEL HAY STABLES MOBILE PACE
CALL SECURITY - lay out at various stages.
ANN SOPHIE - held up final turn and early stages of the run home. When questioned regarding his decision to restrain racing down the back the first time and shift to the marker line Driver W House stated that in his opinion the mare would not have been suited to racing without cover so felt it was his best option to secure a trailing position. Mr House also advised that he had not activated the sliding blinds due to having been held up.
EDDIE OSEI - held up final turn and early stages of the run home. Lay out under pressure over the final stages.
Race 2   JOHN GOMMANS STABLES MOBILE PACE
PROVISEUR - shifted out early in the run home before being corrected. Driver E Johnson was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the future.
ENYA FRANCO - when questioned Driver W House stated that racing without cover throughout had taken its toll with the mare being run down late in the home straight.
HA'PENNY - raced wide from the 600m.
INNOCENT MAN - paced roughly entering the first turn. Lay in contacting a track marker approaching the 200m.
Race 3   STEPHEN DOODY STABLES MOBILE PACE
LINCOLN LA MOOSE - lay in and paced roughly entering and rounding the first turn. Again paced roughly when attempting to improve wide rounding the final turn.
THE BEACH HOUSE - when questioned regarding the performance Driver W House stated that after having improved around to race outside the leader near the 950m the gelding had only battled in the run home.
WHITEBAIT MARG - held up early in the run home then again from the 50m.
Race 4   CHATHAM ISLANDERS MOBILE PACE
LORD DELMAR - lay out rounding the final turn.
STEALERS WHEEL - lay in rounding the turns.
BETA PREPARE - raced wide from the 650m.
FREDASTAIRE - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1500m.
EXECUTIVE BANNER - improved around to the parked position near the 950m before weakening in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Driver W House stated that he wasn't overly disappointed given the midrace effort to get handy and that the gelding was up in grade following his two recent wins since joining the stable. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality.
Race 5   BASE SOLUTIONS HANDICAP TROT
SCOOTS - broke near the 700m briefly hampering trailing runners losing its chance.
HENRIK LUNDQVIST - over-raced when being steadied to surrender the lead middle stages. Weakened entering the final turn hampering a trailing runner.
MR MONTY - broke at the start losing all chance.
MODE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m. Broke passing the 400m losing all chance.
EAGLE HANOVER - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m.
QUERCUS RUBRA - broke for several strides at the start. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m.
BEVRON - broke near the 2200m losing all chance.
SWEET OLIVIA - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the back straight the final time.
Race 6   JAY ABERNETHY STABLES MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed briefly due to gear on BELL FIRE requiring attention.
TRES BONNE FILLE - over-raced middle stages when being restrained to surrender the lead then continued to over-race for some distance. Driver L Hibell reported that the off side sliding blind failed to activate.
WHITEBAIT DELIGHT - weakened final turn. Trainer D Gale advised that the mare was displaying symptoms of muscle tie-up which will be treated with this runner being withdrawn from the second day.
Race 7   THANK YOU JOHN DENTON MOBILE PACE
MIKI'S MOMENT - shifted out early in the run home briefly hampering an outside runner but was corrected by Driver P Ferguson.
MISS WOODVILLE - lay in near the 1750m when unable to hold the back of the leader which enabled FINAL CHANGE to shift down to fill that position. Commenced to over-race near the 1500m before being taken out to race outside the leader.
HAWTHORNDEN BEACH - broke near the 1550m when being restrained off the back of BETTERTHANBABE but soon settled. Stewards opened and adjourned an investigation into this incident. Weakened final turn.
FINAL CHANGE - over-raced middle stages.
MIRACLE MEMPHIS - paced roughly shortly after the start. Raced wide middle stages before crossing to the parked position near the 900m. Briefly hampered by an inside runner early in the home straight. When questioned regarding the performance Driver W House stated that he was satisfied with the run given the midrace effort to get handy in what was the gelding's second raceday start.
