Race 1   PLACEMAKERS - CROMWELL CENTRAL OTAGO MOBILE PACE
HILLARY - paced roughly in the score up however was in position at the start.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - weakened early in the run home.
VINCHETTO - lay inwards near the 400m striking a track marker.
MIKI'S BEAUTY - raced greenly near the 300m having to be straightened by driver B Orange. Mr Orange advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered. Mr Orange defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 350m when striking the sulky wheel of TOP POCKET CHANCE resulting in the tyre puncturing. After viewing replays and hearing from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Orange's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 March up to and including 9 March 2025 (4 days).
TOP POCKET CHANCE - lay inwards striking a track marker leaving the final bend. Driver K Green reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 350m. Ms Green was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 2   BP 2GO CROMWELL TROT
MAJESTIC DAUGHTER - broke near the 1400m losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
DIDN'T DI - had to be steadied near the 900m after a slight easing of the pace and broke losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MASS DISRUPTION - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
ANNROSE - broke near the 700m losing ground. Lay inwards final bend striking a track marker. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded to the mare under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging ANNROSE had broken in excess of 150m during the running. After viewing the replays driver B Williamson did not contest the protest and ANNROSE was disqualified by the Stewards.
WHISPERING MAJESTIC - the murphy blind was removed prior to the start after becoming damaged in the preliminary. Broke passing the 250m and failed to settle. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Stewards lodged a protest against the promoted 4th placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging WHISPERING MAJESTIC had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver J Morrison did not contest the protest and WHISPERING MAJESTIC was disqualified by the Stewards. Mr Morrison reported he would be recommending gear changes.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - broke passing the 200m losing ground. Stewards lodged a protest against the promoted 4th placing being awarded to the mare under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging MAJESTIC CHALLEN had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver E Barron did not contest the protest and MAJESTIC CHALLEN was disqualified by the Stewards.
Race 3   FARMLANDS CROMWELL MOBILE PACE
NANA'S LITTLE TERROR - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MIGHTY MIKI - paced roughly over the concluding stages having to be steadied.
AVA DALE - over-raced final bend.

PARADISE VALLEY - held up early in the run home.
PENNY WEIGHT - hung outwards early in the run home when attempting to utilise the passing lane with driver J Morrison then electing to shift wider on the track.
MATAI HARRY - raced wide early. Held up early in the run home. Driver A Milne was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SUMMIT ULTRA - trainer K Green was warned for failing to have the correct colours available. Lay inwards early in the run home when weakening having to be corrected by driver R Close.
SHEZZA VINNY - raced three wide throughout. Weakened final bend.
FORTY WIVES - raced three wide with cover throughout.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

IMPERIAL MAN - trainer J Ryan was warned for presenting the gelding without the notified fixed deafeners. Lay in final bend contacting and dislodging several track markers.
MAJESTIC LOVE - broke after 100m and attempted to buck on several occasions losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.

Race 6   SANTANA MINERALS LTD MOBILE PACE
MIDNIGHT BABE - broke shortly after the start checking a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
FRANCO CHAPLIN - held up early stages of the run home. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed the photo finish and confirmed the Judge's call of a dead heat for 4th place between SHE'S A JEWEL and FRANCO CHAPLIN after being unable to identify the nose of FRANCO CHAPLIN which was obstructed by the nose flap. Stewards opened an investigation regarding this matter and will speak to trainer B Waldron in the coming days.
TWO TICKS - lay outwards over the concluding stages.
HAZER - over-raced middle stages.
THE ORANGE ROUGHY - raced wide final bend.
EZRA THE SCRIBE - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing ground.
Race 7   HYGAIN REVELL DOUGLAS MEMORIAL SERIES MOBILE PACE
KENSI - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
DECEPTIVE LEE - junior driver S Hill, assisted by senior driver J Cox, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hill's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 March up to and including 9 March 2025 (3 days).
LIGHT ME UP - lay outwards in the run home.
QUINN - raced wide early.
TACT TEENA - out of position at the start. Driver W House was issued with a warning.
Race 8   McNULTY'S TRANSPORT HANDICAP PACE
TOKYO ROSE - lay inwards at various stages of the run home.
ALWAYS TICKING - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 9   MOJO MODERN JOINERY TROT
SPEEDING SPIRIT - driver R Close reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BURNING LOVE - permission was granted for the mare to race in alternative colours. Hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 500m.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 500m. Held up early in the run home.
SON OF THE CLEANER - broke near the 1300m losing all chance.
MILES AWAY - trotted roughly in the run home.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
JUSTINE JACCKA - weakened from the 500m hampering trailing runners. Driver J Cox reported the mare had hung throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer B Gray advised he would have the mare further examined by his veterinarian in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the results.
SHARMA TROUBLE - over-raced middle stages.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
MOA MOJITO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.

HENNESSY - lay inwards near the 1900m striking track markers.
Race 10   CROMWELL CERTIFIED CONCRETE MOBILE PACE
MATAURA B B - broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that although the gelding was racing up in grade he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
NYLA - held up early in the run home.
HALEY JACCKA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver O Kite. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MOUTON CADET - hampered by a breaking runner in the score up. Lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
Top
