LOUIS - lay outwards throughout the run home. Hampered when PENNY WEIGHT shifted outwards near the 250m.
PENNY WEIGHT - raced greenly and shifted outwards at the 250m hampering trailing runners having to be corrected by driver R May. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
EVIDENTLY - raced wide early.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend.
SANTANNA MACH - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
HIT THE LIGHTS - raced wide early. Lay inwards racing into the first bend placing an inside runner in restricted room.

Race 2   FAMOUS GROUSE HOTEL TROT
MASS DISRUPTION - shifted outwards at the start and broke losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
RONDO TROUBLE - broke near the 300m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
BONJOUR PARIS - trotted roughly before breaking near the 900m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on two occasions prior to resuming.
MA BELLE AMIE - trotted roughly over the early stages.
WATERLOO STATION - broke after 150m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
A REASON TO FIGHT - raced greenly when racing over the crossing near the 1700m. Trotted roughly in the run home.

Race 3   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS MOBILE PACE
DR GACHET - broke late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MARIANA TRENCH - lay outwards in the run home.
DOVER TERRACE - broke and shifted inwards in the score up hampering a trailing runner and after settling was incorrectly positioned behind IMPERIAL LAZ at the start. Stewards spoke to Junior driver R Harrison, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, regarding this with Miss Harrison advising that she was having difficulty steering her runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Notwithstanding this Miss Harrison was reminded of her obligations to make a better effort to be in her correct position at the start. Lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1600m.
VARENNA FRANCO - paced roughly rounding the final bend. Lay inwards throughout the run home causing driver J Morrison difficulty. When questioned regarding the improved performance driver J Morrison advised the mare had benefited from a more economical run today after having to work hard at its previous start.
SAM SNEAD - hampered by a breaking runner in the score up.
Race 4   TEMPS BAR / MARK TEMPLETON MEMORIAL TROT
HIGH NOON - hampered by a breaking runner near the 250m.
TAKE AFTER ME - connections advised the gelding would be racing without front shoes.
CRAZY N LOVE - lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Broke near the 250m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
BELLA LINDENNY - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MOA MOJITO - raced wide without cover from the 800m.
Race 5   VIP TRADE / NELSON PINE PACE
CHRISTIAN BALE - co-trainers G & N Hope were issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified pacifier. Broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Connections advised they would be restricting the horse to mobile starts in the immediate future.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
GAMELY - lay outwards early in the run home causing driver S Tomlinson difficulty.
TROUBLESHOOTER - lay inwards in the middle stages of the run home.
NEWBIEMAINS ARDEN - over-raced middle stages.
NORMIE STEAD - weakened final bend.
SMOOTH SCOOB - hampered and broke shortly after the start losing all chance.

DARBY - connections advised the mare would be racing without a front shoe.
GEM N EM - lay in and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
MOET SHARD - raced wide early.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed a high respiratory rate and inflammation in the airway.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BETTERWITHBLING - junior driver S Hill, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
Race 7   CHRIS JONES - BAYLEYS REAL ESTATE TROT
KOKO KABOOM - broke near the 1600m hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground.
LOVE WALKED IN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1600m. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
KISS ME KATE - broke near the 1650m losing ground.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 8   CHECK OUT LOT 235 ALWAYS B MIKI-THE MORNING STAR PACE
A false start was declared due to the Starter not being satisfied with the manner in which the field was approaching the barrier.
APATCHOFGOLD - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
RED WINE KISSES - late scratching at 9.15am on Veterinary advice.
OKIWI BAY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.

There was a delay to the start when the field was turned away to readdress the barrier after a number of runners became fractious.

BROTHER LOVE - broke at the start and shifted inwards checking trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide early.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - broke after 200m losing considerable ground.

BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - driver M Holbrough advised she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord breaking.
