SUPERFAST - weakened over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Stewards will follow up with trainer B Norman in the coming days.
CHEZZ DALE - raced wide final bend.
MAGIC SIGN - over-raced when being restrained to take cover shortly after the start. Raced wide final bend.
SPORTY CHARLIE - held up rounding the final bend.
Trainer B Norman advised Stewards on 12 February that SUPERFAST had recovered well and will continue in its current preparation.

HILLARY - held up leaving the final bend.
COURTNEY FORCE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

MYTHICAL - paced roughly first bend. Held up rounding the final bend.

BURNING LOVE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a high heart rate. Stewards will follow up with trainer K Green in the coming days.
AH DINNAE KEN - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
PETITE TRIXTON - raced wide early.
OUR SUPERFUND - pre-race warmed. Trainer C Barron was warned for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddlecloth. Lay out on the bends. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
ERROL D - slow over the early stages and lost contact with the body of the field throughout. When questioned regarding this trainer/driver M Shirley advised the gelding had trotted roughly throughout and he was reluctant to apply pressure as he felt ERROL D would break.
HOT SAUCY BETTY - slow early stages. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Stewards will follow up with trainer K Green in the coming days.

DIAMONDSONMYSHOES - driver E Barron reported a sulky wheel was contacted on the final bend with the tyre deflating after the finish line.
ON THE BEACH - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Raced three wide without cover through the early stages. Paced roughly before breaking again rounding the final bend. Driver R McIlwrick reported the gelding had paced roughly and raced ungenerously throughout causing him considerable difficulty and he would be recommending gear and shoeing changes prior to racing next.
FRANCO VAI - driver K Larsen was warned for shifting ground on the final bend and contacting the sulky wheel of DIAMONDSONMYSHOES. Lay in throughout the run home having to be straightened by driver K Larsen.
CAPTAIN AMORE - forced BANSHEE ABBEY wider on the track rounding the first bend. Driver B Williamson admitted a subsequent breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) and after viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
BANSHEE ABBEY - raced wider on the track first bend when CAPTAIN AMORE shifted ground outwards.
ROSA PARKS - briefly hampered near the 700m. Weakened final bend.
Race 7   WILBUR ELLIS NZ LTD GOLD CHIP FINAL (HANDICAP TROT)
MAJESTIC DAUGHTER - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SONNY JIM - tangled away. Over-raced at various stages throughout causing some difficulty for driver M Hurrell and was retired from the event entering the home straight. When questioned regarding this Mr Hurrell advised that he had difficulty steering the gelding throughout and he had recommended gear changes to connections. A final warning was placed on the racing record of SONNY JIM.
THE GREEK FREAK - tangled away. Trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - tangled away.
HAIL STONE - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
LIL WHIP - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer T Dewe.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

Trainer C Faithful advised Stewards on 27 February that PRECIOUS MEMORIES had been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
Race 8   TRANSPORT SERVICES LTD MOBILE PACE
FETA GO FERNCO - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised the mare had drawn benefit from an increase in its work load and had received a better draw today adding he was not surprised by the effort.
RIGHTAZZ - checked and broke passing the 2100m hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - trainer R Swain was warned for failing to have the correct colours available.
NEK DELIGHT - shifted ground near the 2000m with the sulky wheel contacting the front leg of RIGHTAZZ which broke in consequence. Driver M Hurrell admitted a charge that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hurrell's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today 9 February, up to and including 21 February 2025 (3 days).
MOUTON CADET - raced wide early.
ON THE WING - the near side sulky tyre deflated and came off the rim passing the 2000m when contacted by a breaking runner. Weakened final bend.
HACKSAW RIDGE - lay in rounding the first bend and contacted several track markers then stumbled and broke losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BROOKIES PLAYER - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
TED - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
Trainer L Pearson advised Stewards on 14 February that TED has had both hocks treated since last racing.

BEACH DAY - lay in rounding the first bend.
SWEET DIAMOND - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver T Williams advised that the mare had benefitted from a change in training regime in the leadup and had warmed up well today so was driven in a positive manner.
NUTCRACKER - paced roughly near the 200m.
Connections advised Stewards on 26 February that MOLLY BELWIN has had its joints treated since last racing.
Race 10   HIGHWAY SERVICES HANDICAP TROT
PRACTICAL MAGIC - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners in consequence.
MIXED FAITH - weakened final bend.
DOMINATION'S CALL - lay in leaving the final bend.
STYRAX - broke at the start losing ground.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.

CAPTAIN STARLIGHT - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer A McVicar advised that the gelding had trained well leading into today, was driven to suit for one run, adding he was not surprised by the effort.
GLENGARRY MOONLIGHT - trainer J Douglas was warned for presenting the gelding without the notified anti-choke device.
