Pre-race blood testing was carried out.

Driver J Morrison was replaced on his drive in Race 3 due to feeling unwell however was cleared to fulfil his remaining driving engagements by St John personnel. Mr Morrison became unwell again and stood himself down from driving for the remainder of the meeting after Race 7. A medical clearance will be required prior to Mr Morrison resuming driving.

COURAGE REACTOR - broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up by a weakening runner final bend. Again held up early in the run home.
SPIRITUAL BLISS - briefly locked wheels with KING ARTHUR near the 100m.
ONELOVEONELIFE - raced wide early. Held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
KING ARTHUR - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Briefly locked wheels with SPIRITUAL BLISS near the 100m.
FERGALICIOUS - hampered by a breaking runner in the score up however was in position at the start. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the mare had failed to respond to his urgings inside the final 400m and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - raced three wide from the 1000m. Weakened final bend.
SOFIA ROSE - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M Purvis advised he had added a boring pole to the mare's gear after having steering difficulties at its last start.
TOUCH N GO - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m then four wide without cover from the 650m. Lay inwards in the run home.
Race 4   SBSR TUAPEKA LODGE / RUSSELL NEVILL MOBILE PACE
AMARETTO FRANCO - driver C Thornley advised the mare had hung inwards at various stages throughout.
BLACK MACH - weakened final bend.
Race 5   SBSR MICHELLE CAIG / STEVE BAUCKE HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to MISS GRACIE proving difficult to turn into line despite the efforts of driver S Thornley.
FIVE MONKEYS - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
JUDY J - held up early in the run home.
MISS GRACIE - slow to begin before switching to a pace having to be broken up by its driver losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PENELOPE HALL - raced wide early.
NIGHT LIFE - broke after 100m losing all chance.
RANDEL HUSTON P - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - broke near the 1400m hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
BAFFLED - raced wide early.
KD ROYALTY - broke after 100m losing ground.
MOSES - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Raced three wide from the 1000m.
LOTUS FRANCO - fractious prior to the start. Raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver G Thornley advised the mare had hung throughout causing her difficulty. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high respiratory rate and slow recovery. Connections advised they would have their stable veterinarian examine the horse in the coming days. INCENTIVISE - lay inwards throughout the run home causing driver T Williams some difficulty.
NIKOLIA RAY - broke near the 1100m losing ground.
Race 7   SBSR/DIAMOND CREEK FARM SUPPORTS NZ HARNESS RACING MOB TROT
PANDEMIC - trotted roughly rounding the final bend losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
HEARTBREAK HOTEL - pre-race warmed. Broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 1000m losing ground. Hung inwards and trotted roughly final bend. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the horse had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early and middle stages.
SHE'S GOT SASS - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 8   SBSR BEAUDIENE BREEDING HANDICAP TROT
SUNNY LOUIS - broke at the start losing ground. Held up final bend. Again held up early in the run home.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - broke briefly at the start.
ALMIGHTY - raced wide from the 950m. Weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver K Butt advised the mare is still an inexperienced trotter and had been unsuited to the rise in class of tonight's race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CORMORAN STRIKE - driver T Williams reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 1000m.
BULLIT TRAIN - pre-race warmed. Held up final bend. Trotted roughly in the run home.
ROYAL DEL - raced wide from the 700m. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Broke near the 300m losing all chance.
PARIS PRINCE - raced wide early.
SHEZA GIFT - broke at the start losing ground. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
JIMMY CARTER - weakened final bend.
VERTIGO - driver L McCormick admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 1000m when shifting outwards and striking the sulky wheel of CORMORAN STRIKE which punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McCormick's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 7 February 2025 (2 days).

BETTERWITHBLING - held up final bend.
DIDJASEEMIKI - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - trainer B Mowbray was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Raced wide early.
SOPHIA BROMAC - pre-race warmed. Driver R Harrison advised she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 10   SBSR MACANDREW FARM / KIRSTIN GREEN-DALY MOBILE PACE
KAIRAKI VEGAS - paced roughly in the early stages.
READY TO DREAM - checked and broke near the 200m losing all chance.
TWO JULES - driver R Anderson was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home.
LOVEYOURMOTHER - broke near the 200m and shifted outwards abruptly checking trailing runners losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DAISY DIANA - paced roughly shortly after the start. Checked by a breaking runner near the 200m.
Race 11   SBSR PRICE BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
TAUMUTU LAD - lay inwards near the 1100m causing driver S Thornley difficulty.
FIVE CROWNS - driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - over-raced middle stages. Weakened and paced roughly from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver H Sail advised in his opinion the gelding may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a minor laceration on the right front coronet band.
DAVE DULEY - raced wide early.
MOUTON CADET - raced wide early.
