Race 1   CLUBS NZ RACE MEETINGS - JANUARY & FEBRUARY TROT
PHANTOM SPUR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
INQUIZITIVE MAN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
RIPSLINGER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Lay inwards near the 1200m striking several track markers. Weakened from the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and the mare to be lame in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
B K MUMMA JAMIE - broke at the start losing ground. Checked by a breaking runner and broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
CASTLEISLAND - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
BONJOUR PARIS - broke near the 500m and lay inwards when attempting to be shifted clear of the field by driver J Dunn and then lay outwards hampering trailing runners losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DRAGONHILL - paced shortly after the start having to be broken up by driver R Holmes and switched to a pace again racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground. Again switched to a pace and broke leaving the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
WEE WESTY - broke at the start losing ground. Checked by a breaking runner and broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
NATIVES BLAZIN SON - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
ROCKY IN PARADISE - broke at the start losing all chance.
RUTHLESS EMMA - checked by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
JUST CHARLIE - broke near the 1100m hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
Race 2   CLUBS NZ SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT NZ MOB PACE
WOODLEA DIAMOND - lay outwards over the concluding stages despite the efforts of driver J Morrison.
DIXIELAND DELIGHT - raced wide without cover from the 1100m.
MOONLITE - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Paced roughly leaving the first bend. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ULTIMATE RUSH - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Driver S Ottley advised she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 3   'THE PEOPLE PLACE' - RICHMOND CLUB PACE
BETTOR FEAR ME - held up early in the run home.
GAMELY - over-raced middle stages.
CRUISE DENARIO - weakened final bend.
TIMES LIKE THESE - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
TROUBLESHOOTER - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
BEVERLEY COURTNEY - lay inwards and struck track markers near the 1200m.
BETSY MAY - paced roughly for a distance shortly after the start. Broke near the 700m losing ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 4   TIMARU TOWN & COUNTRY MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when SIR MONTY broke in the score up and shifted outwards checking outside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver S Thornley elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
SEARING LIGHT - weakened leaving the final bend.
FABRICATE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend and early in the run home. Weakened over the concluding stages.
KING ARTHUR - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
BETTERTHANDIVA - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
Race 5   RANGIORA RSA CLUB TROT
REINDEER TROUBLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
LA DAMA - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Broke over the concluding stages and failed to settle. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
GOLD NUGGET - raced wide early. Broke near the 1000m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
GINAS MAJESTY - trotted roughly racing into the first bend.
ALI LINDENNY - broke briefly at the start.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke near the 1100m losing ground.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - raced wide early.

Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.

SIGNAL HILL - trotted roughly early in the run home.
LINDY'S ROCKET - broke shortly after the start checking a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened leaving the final bend.
SILVESTER - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
LAVRA SEGIL - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Weakened leaving the final bend.
BAFFLED - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 8   HORNBY CLUB MOBILE PACE
BETTERWITHBLING - raced wide early.
STAR MAGIC - raced wide early.
HOPE FOR LOVE - over-raced early stages.
RAZORS EDGE - held up early in the run home.
Race 9   ASHBURTON SUPER LIQUOR HANDICAP PACE
ULTIMATE COUNSEL - broke at the start losing ground. Awkwardly placed close to the weakening SEASIDE POND rounding the final bend. Held up early in the run home.
CHEEKY RED - fractious prior to the start requiring assistance from a Starting Attendant. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - slow to begin.
BIGGLES - broke at the start and shifted outwards checking an outside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HE'S A BAY - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke losing ground. Held up early in the run home.
FESTUS HAGGEN - broke at the start losing ground. Held up middle stages of the run home.
SEASIDE POND - weakened rounding the final bend and severely hampered ULTIMATE COUNSEL which was awkwardly placed causing driver J Cox difficulty with other trailing runners also being hampered. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
HEAVEN - broke briefly at the start.
MOONLITE BLOOD - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slow.
Race 10   THE PAPANUI CLUB TROT
BROTHER LOVE - shifted outwards as the start was effected briefly crowding an outside runner.
SWIFT DREAM - briefly crowded at the start. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. Driver O Thornley advised that the crupper had broken during the running. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
ROYAL YANKEE - trotted roughly over the early stages losing ground on the body of the field.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - trotted roughly before weakening leaving the final bend.
OPAWA PEAK - broke briefly at the start.
Race 11   JOIN YOUR LOCAL CLUB TODAY MOBILE PACE
ANYTIME AT ALL - over-raced middle stages.
HEY TONIGHT - raced wide without cover from the 1500m. Weakened final bend.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - over-raced early and middle stages. Held up final bend.
NASANA - raced wide early.
