DIDN'T DI - broke near the 1500m hampering trailing runners losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MA BELLE AMIE - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m losing ground.
ERAGON - broke shortly after the start checking a trailing runner losing all chance with the chin rest becoming detached and the gelding being retired from the race. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
PHANTOM SPUR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Broke near the 500m losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

FORTY WIVES - checked by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
FERNZ GOLDY - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer D Reardon advised the mare had responded well to the blinds being removed from its gear and had been suited to leading today.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - checked by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
GEMS DELIGHT - lay inwards and broke racing into the first bend when wide on the track, losing ground. Lay inwards again leaving the final bend despite the efforts of driver B Orange checking an inside runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.

rkM7RnHxzAM STORM CLOUD - fractious prior to the start. Slow to begin. Weakened over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised the mare had raced lethargically and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
SILVESTER - broke at the start losing ground. Again broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
MEANDAD - broke near the 150m losing all chance.
ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver R Holmes advised the mare had benefitted from being freshened since last racing.
ROYAL ROCK - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised that after racing wide in the early stages the entire had got further back than anticipated during the running however had finished the race off strongly, adding he was pleased with the effort.
PYRAMID ROSE - raced wide early.

TrHJmkqkjJE BARRYTOWN - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
MILES AWAY - weakened final bend.
MOSES - driver G O'Reilly reported the gelding had trotted roughly in the run home.
KRACKA LOOKA - trotted roughly for a distance passing the 600m losing ground.
THE PRESENT MAKER - lay outwards rounding the final bend and throughout the run home with the gelding trotting roughly. Driver W House reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly in the early stages before breaking near the 2000m losing all chance and being retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
KRACKALING - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early. Weakened final bend.

THE BETTOR MAJOR - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
KATHERINE - held up early in the run home.
WARLOCH - fractious prior to the start and began awkwardly. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
AINT NO ANGEL - briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Weakened final bend. Driver M Hill reported that the hopple shortener cord detached from the sulky passing the 1500m which required him to regather the cord shortly after. This gear was inspected and found to be in good condition.
DECEPTIVE LEE - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.24am.

ibhJJnl0C0o MELODY BANNER - connections advised the mare has been treated for muscle tie-up since last racing. Over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and early in the run home.
SHE'S A JEWEL - lay inwards final bend then had difficulty obtaining clear racing room early in the run home.
MY TEN GUITARS - raced wide early.
SARGENT BEST - driver C Williamson was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.

MISS GRACIE - hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
TOP OF THE HILL - began awkwardly losing ground. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PETITE TRIXTON - broke leaving the final bend losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
VELOCITY JET - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

ho6dZZPsYZg BONNIE'S GIRL - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 1300m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Held up final bend by a weakening runner. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Co-trainer H Cullen advised he would have a further veterinary examination conducted on the mare on return to his stable. Stewards will follow up in the coming days.
SINAI SERMON - weakened early in the run home. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted during the running, driver C Dalgety advised that after obtaining cover in the early stages his horse had begun to over-race so he elected to improve forward near the 1500m in an attempt to obtain the lead. SINAI SERMON then commenced to lay inwards near the 1200m when attempting to cross the pace-making FLYING BIRD and consequently despite his efforts he had been unable to improve to that position. Mr Dalgety added that when he became aware that FLYING BIRD was under pressure near the 600m he felt his best option was to improve forward again in an attempt to cross to the marker line. After considering his explanation Stewards were satisfied Mr Dalgety's tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
JOVIAL JAY - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
NEK DELIGHT - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend by a weakening runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Hill advised that despite being held up on the final bend he had been disappointed with the effort of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ARI ON SAFARI - over-raced middle stages.
WAVEWATCHER - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
FLYING BIRD - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. Struck track markers near the 300m. Driver H Douglas was issued with a warning. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted during the running Mr Douglas advised that after being challenged for the lead by SINAI SERMON passing the 1200m he attempted to restrain and obtain cover behind that runner, however SINAI SERMON had commenced to lay inwards soon after and failed to muster enough speed to cross his horse. Mr Douglas added he had been able to gain some respite for a distance until the 600m however once placed under pressure the mare had failed to respond to his urgings and commenced to weaken. After considering his explanation Stewards were satisfied Mr Douglas' tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Connections advised FLYING BIRD would now be sent for a spell.
MOUTON CADET - broke rounding the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300m. Held up final bend by a weakening runner. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break. Driver M Holbrough reported the gelding had struck a knee causing it to break.

RACIE DALE - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ULTIMATE RUSH - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Raced wide early.
BABE ON THE BEACH - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Williamson. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. A side hopple carrier came adrift during the running. Trainer C Ferguson was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix this gear so as not to come adrift.
DAISY DIANA - fractious in the pre-race formation requiring the assistance of a Starting Attendant. Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
COURTNEY FORCE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
TAIKA - slow in the early stages of the score up and was back from the Unruly position at the start. Weakened final bend. Driver G Shand was warned to start wider on the track when drawn Unruly.
ROCKOUTRAY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
