Race 2   ON THE TRACK LODGE / SPUD (THE LEGEND) CROSSE MOBILE PACE
SWEET DJ - driver G Goodman was struck by a dislodged track marker passing the 400m. Held up final bend. A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards questioned junior driver G Goodman, assisted by N Williamson, regarding her decision to shift inwards approaching the 400m resulting in her runner being held up for a considerable distance. After hearing from Miss Goodman and Mr Williamson, Stewards issued a charge under Rule 868(2), which Miss Goodman defended, alleging she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure her runner finished in the best possible position. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.

Over-raced and struck the sulky wheel of GATI which had lay inwards near the 1100m.
