The meeting was delayed following Race 9 due to the prevailing stormy weather conditions. As a consequence and after speaking with drivers and club officials the final two races were rescheduled as below:

Race 1   BECKERS TRANSPORT / FLOORING XTRA MOBILE PACE
FRIENDLY EYRE - weakened final bend.
SOUTHERN STARR - weakened final bend. Driver G Sinnamon was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion rounding the final bend.
TEN DA TOUCH - attempted to pull up when leading near the 1200m and shifted outwards having to be straightened prior to progressing to the lead again.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - raced wide throughout after making an unsuccessful attempt to sit parked near the 1200m when a runner to the inside shifted ground outwards to race in the one out line. Driver C Negus admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
Race 2   PRECISION WORKS LTD (2013) / ONE OVER LODGE TROT
FATHER MIKE - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance.
THE MERC - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance.
BLUEY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened in the run home.
THE LAST MCGUIRE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Stood down to complete one standing start trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
GARONNE - broke after 150m losing all chance.
BROTHER JOHNSON - lay inwards over the concluding stages.
MADISON'S MOON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SHARMA TROUBLE - trotted roughly at various stages and weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Race 3   OMAKAU AUTO CENTRE / OMAKAU FUEL SERVICES MOBILE PACE
IVAN THE GREAT - broke briefly after 100m. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced in the parked position through the middle stages. Paced roughly late in the run home.
LOVEYOURMOTHER - held up early stages of the run home.
HAROLD HANOVER - held up early stages of the run home.
CRUISING FONTANA - raced wide throughout.
Race 4   MACCA LODGE / CRAIG & MARIE MCNEILL MOBILE PACE
LEDGER'S MAID - placed in restricted room and contacted a track marker near the 300m.
DANISH FRANCO - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.00am.
MIKI'S BEAUTY - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again entering the first bend losing all chance.
NORTHVIEW SWEET - shifted ground near the 300m resulting in an inside runner contacting a track marker. Driver K Green was issued with a warning.
KENSI - back from the Unruly position at the start. Became awkwardly placed near the sulky wheel of DIXIELAND DELIGHT when hanging outwards near the 950m and raced three wide without cover thereafter. Driver S Ottley reported she did not release the hopple shorteners due to the mare pacing comfortably with the shorteners in.
Race 5   ALEXANDRA FOUR SQUARE / HARNESS RACING UNHINGED MOBILE PACE
BETTER BE WATCHING - over-raced early stages.
ARTMORE - weakened final bend.
PENNY WEIGHT - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Held up early stages of the run home.
FITZTHEBILL - held up early stages of the run home.
CRACKER OPIE - raced wide early stages.
Race 6   PROPERTY BROKERS / LUKE CUNLIFFE BUILDER MOBILE PACE
ULTIMATE WEAPON - late scratching on veterinary advice at 2.54pm.
FAREWELL SPIT - became awkwardly placed close to the back of GEORGIE ZUKOV near the 900m when there was an easing of the pace.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
AINT NO ANGEL - raced wide early stages.
Race 7   W S HICKEY MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
PRACTICAL MAGIC - trotted roughly late in the run home.
SPELLS OF LOVE - held up early stages of the run home.
VERTIGO - broke after 200m losing considerable ground. Driver S Thornley advised the mare had stood on a cast bell boot and this resulted in it breaking.
GIFT CARD - over-raced middle stages.
FRANCO JOSIAH - trainer B Waldron was warned for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddle cloth.
MISSILE - trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 8   DUNEDIN CITY MOTORS / DAVID COCKBURN CONSTRUCTION HCP TROT
BRIANNA - driver D McCormick admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McCormick's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 6 January up to and including 14 January 2025 (4 days).
MISS GRACIE - broke at the start losing all chance.
TINKERBELLE - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised she was disappointed and could offer no explanation.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - broke near the 2200m losing all chance.
MOA MOJITO - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
HOT SAUCY BETTY - trotted roughly rounding the first bend having to be steadied. Trotted roughly again over the concluding stages when weakening.
DANCING GLENIS - broke at the start losing all chance.
BURNING LOVE - broke near the 1700m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
Race 9   RANFURLY TRANSPORT LTD FFA (MOBILE PACE)
DA VINCI - weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
MO'UNGA - lay outwards rounding the final bend.
Race 10   GALLAGHER FAMILY GOLD CUP (MOBILE TROT)
HIDDEN TALENT - broke near the 1100m losing considerable ground. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners in consequence. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
AROHA KENNY - forced to race wide near the 650m. Held up over the concluding stages.
JIMMY CARTER - awkwardly placed close to the back of HIDDEN TALENT and contacted the sulky wheel of that runner near the 1400m. Stewards questioned driver J Morrison in relation to this incident where it was established there had been a slight easing of the pace simultaneously to Mr Morrison's movement outwards with his horse also inclined to lay inwards. Stewards attributed no blame to horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further.
GOLD BULLION - improved wide from the 400m.
MYSTIC MAX - raced wide without cover from the 1000m. Weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that despite racing wide from the 1000m he was very disappointed with the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 11   ALEXANDRA NEW WORLD / ANDREW MAY CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
LOU'S DEAL - weakened final bend.
WAVEWATCHER - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
FRANCO MESSI - weakened final bend.
SEACRACKA - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised the mare had over-raced when striking the wheel discs.
TABASCO - held up by a weakening runner final bend. The off-side number came loose over the concluding stages when the connecting clip broke.
MUNROE'S MATE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up by a weakening runner final bend. Driver J Morrison was spoken to for the manner he drove in the score up. Driver J Morrison advised he would be recommending a change of gear.
MR CASH MAN - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
JUDAQUE - broke as the start was effected then settled, before breaking again shortly after losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
