Pre-race blood testing was carried out. The meeting was delayed following Race 9 due to the prevailing stormy weather conditions. As a consequence and after speaking with drivers and club officials the final two races were rescheduled as below: Race 10 - 5.53pm. Race 11 - 6.23pm. |

FOVEAUX GAMBLER - raced wide throughout after making an unsuccessful attempt to sit parked near the 1200m when a runner to the inside shifted ground outwards to race in the one out line. Driver C Negus admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. |

AROHA KENNY - forced to race wide near the 650m. Held up over the concluding stages. | |
JIMMY CARTER - awkwardly placed close to the back of HIDDEN TALENT and contacted the sulky wheel of that runner near the 1400m. Stewards questioned driver J Morrison in relation to this incident where it was established there had been a slight easing of the pace simultaneously to Mr Morrison's movement outwards with his horse also inclined to lay inwards. Stewards attributed no blame to horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further. | |

MYSTIC MAX - raced wide without cover from the 1000m. Weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that despite racing wide from the 1000m he was very disappointed with the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. |
