Race 1   PETER SMITH / DEAKS ELECTRICAL TROT
TESSAMAE - trotted roughly rounding the final bend and broke briefly near the 500m and shifted ground outwards hampering an outside runner. Continued to trot roughly throughout the run home. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and had lost ground when in a break. Stewards questioned driver B Borcoskie in relation to his drive near the 500m when leading he shifted his horse which was in a break wider on the track. Mr Borcoskie advised that he believed the mare would not regain its gait and so immediately attempted to take his horse clear of the field as required with the horse then regaining its gait. After hearing from Mr Borcoskie and viewing the films, Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances.
MOLLYS REMEDY - began awkwardly. Broke after 100m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
MONARO MEG - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
ROSARY - trotted roughly in the early stages. When questioned driver S Tomlinson advised the filly had been slow over the early stages and settled some distance back however she was satisfied with the performance and believed the filly would derive benefit from its first race day start.
SPANISH PRINCESS - contacted by outside runner at the start. Slow over the early stages.
PHANTOM SPUR - fractious prior to the start. Shifted inwards and made contact with inside runner at the start. Broke after 100m losing all chance.
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - broke shortly after the start losing ground and then was hampered by a breaking runner after 150m.
GO HOME DENISE - lay outwards passing the 800m briefly losing ground. Trotted roughly throughout the run home.
NATIVES BLAZIN SON - broke near the 1900m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance.
WEE WESTY - slow and trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Weakened final bend. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding. Connections advised they would be making gear changes prior to the horse racing next.
THE GARDENER'S PRIDE - fractious prior to the start.

A GIRL NAMED VINNY - had to be steadied passing the 800m when there was an easing of the pace. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
REVOLUTION - held up throughout the run home.
JENA - raced wide early.
ROCKINGOOD - raced wide early.
MAJOR LINC - had to be steadied passing the 800m when there was an easing of the pace. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver S Tomlinson advised she did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
ECHAPPE - had to be steadied passing the 800m when there was an easing of the pace.
BAD HABITS - had to be steadied passing the 800m when there was an easing of the pace.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - raced wide early. Held up throughout the run home.
Race 3   COUNTRY FEASTS PACE
The start was delayed when SWEET GLORY shifted out abruptly just prior to the start hampering outside runners with the field being turned away to readdress the barrier. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver A Lethaby elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the restart.
SWEET GLORY - began awkwardly hampering a trailing runner.
ULTIMATUM - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Driver S Tomlinson advised she was unable to activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds due to the cords becoming entangled.
JUSTA TERRA - began awkwardly.
FULLA HOT EYRE - lay outwards near the 200m having to be straightened.
ARCHER - broke briefly at the start.
YALDHURST FOLLY - broke at the start losing ground.
DANCE MONKEY - raced wide early and was restrained to race back in the field near the 1000m.
TROUBLESHOOTER - hampered at the start.
BETSY MAY - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and broke briefly shortly after.
ROYAL BELLE - driver K Hadfield advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.

FEAR THE DIVA - raced wide from the 900m. Weakened final bend.
TIPSTAR - over-raced and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of LONGVIEW TUI having to be steadied near the 900m.

CROWN THE MOMENT - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BLINK N BONES - raced wide early.
LINE A LOVE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner after 150m. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend and broke near the 250m losing its chance.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - broke briefly shortly after the start losing ground.
ROBO TROUBLE - began awkwardly.
KISS ME KATE - broke after 150m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL - broke near the 1850m losing ground.

AMAZING TOM - fractious and reared on a number of occasions prior to the start and as the start was effected had the sulky shaft over its rump taking no part in the race. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MOONLITE BLOOD - over-raced middle stages.
Race 7   CANPRINT MOBILE PACE
QUINN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room early and middle stages of the run home.
TEDDY THE TERROR - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver J Morrison advised he wasn't overly disappointed with the gelding given he was unable to receive a covered run into the race until near the 450m after starting from the outside of the second-line.
EMMA SWAN - when questioned regarding the performance trainer T Healy advised the mare would derive benefit from her first start on the grass also advising she will be increasing her workload in the coming days.
Race 8   DAKINS GROUP TROT
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - shifted outwards as the start was effected hampering an outside runner.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - hampered by an inside runner at the start. Lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
BONNIE BAGRIE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
BAFFLED - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
KAWHI - broke at the start losing all chance.
LOVE WALKED IN - raced wide from the 800m. Broke rounding the final bend losing its chance.
GOLD NUGGET - broke passing the 150m losing its chance.
RACEY KRUSA - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
WHAT THE BELL - driver S Ottley did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 9   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY MOTUKARARA CHRISTMAS CUP (HCP PACE)
MOUTON CADET - fractious prior to the start and sent to the unruly position by the Starter where the gelding will remain for future standing starts. As the restart was being effected backed away and reared into the path of NEXT LEVEL and then broke losing all chance and was retired from the race. Declared a non-runner by the Adjudicative Committee under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
CLASSIE LINC - broke at the start and shifted inwards hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
LESTER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1200m losing all chance and was retired from the race. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the gelding had raced lethargically. A post-race veterinary examination revealed early signs of lameness in the left hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
KISS THE GIRLS - late scratching at 9.00am on Veterinary advice.
TANZANIA - broke briefly at the start then was hampered by a breaking runner shortly after losing ground.
NEXT LEVEL - hampered as the start was being effected having to shift ground inwards and broke shortly after losing all chance. A Request for a Ruling was lodged with the Adjudicative Committee to determine whether the gelding had been denied a fair start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from driver S Ottley and Stewards, NEXT LEVEL was declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j) by the Adjudicative Committee.
LIFE OF ART - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
WILD WILLOW - hampered by breaking runners shortly after the start.
VESSEM - hampered by breaking runners shortly after the start.
Race 10   MICHAEL (MICKEY) WARD MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed four minutes due to the enquiry in the previous race.
LOUIS - raced wide early.
ITZ MAGICAL MEG - broke late in the score up hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
COURAGE REACTOR - raced wide early.
BETTERWITHBLING - held up early in the run home.
MAJOR HAPPY - driver K Newman was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MOET SHARD - connections advised the mare would be racing in foal.
JUDINE - held up until late in the run home.
ACENTO - hampered by a breaking runner late in the score up. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver R Holmes had viewed replays of the start and confirmed that his chances had not been materially affected when briefly hampered prior to the start.

TORVI - began awkwardly. Held up early in the run home.
CLYDE - began awkwardly. Locked stays momentarily with OLIVER which shifted outwards near the 200m.
JASPRIT TROUBLE - trainer M Heenan was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified anti choke device which was fitted prior to the start. Began awkwardly and broke hampering trailing runners losing ground. Warning placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
PARIS PRINCE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
OLIVER - held up early in the run home and shifted outwards near the 200m and locked stays momentarily with CLYDE and then lay outwards having to be straightened. Driver C DeFilippi was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
ROCK LOBSTER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and broke losing ground.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke at the start and then was hampered shortly after by a breaking runner losing ground. Broke passing the 200m losing all chance.
THE RIVER BOY - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 12   COMMODORE HOTEL MOBILE PACE
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - over-raced middle stages. Driver R May advised the gelding may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
FLYAWAY - raced three wide without cover from the 1000m. Weakened final bend.
TOKYO ROSE - raced wide early.
POST PAINTER - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver R Close advised the race had not been run to suit and he was not overly disappointed with the effort however the filly would now be sent for a spell.
JOSE QUIVERA - raced wide early.
SKY ROCKET - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages.
