Race 1   APPARELMASTER TROT
BIG AL - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed no abnormalities.
LOVER BOY - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m. Weakened final bend.
BRIGHTMAN - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
JUST RICKY - weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners. Driver K Gill was issued a warning for using her whip with her foot removed from the sulky footrest in the early stages. Miss Gill advised they would be making gear changes prior to the gelding resuming.
BILLY KIMBER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SOUTH SYDNEY - broke near the 2100m when racing over the crossing losing ground. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m. Broke again near the 600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 2   WATTYL PACE
The start was delayed due to AMBLESIDE DRIVE being fractious with the field being turned away to readdress the barrier. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
The second attempt at a start was delayed due to YOGI'S COLADA becoming fractious. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MARY RULZ - weakened final bend.
YOGI'S COLADA - over-raced middle stages.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - over-raced middle stages.
GREETS - broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly passing the 1100m losing ground. Broke again near the 900m and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a suspected fracture to the off hind leg with the horse being transported to the Canterbury Equine Clinic for further assessment. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
FLOOZY SUZY - lay inwards and paced roughly at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend.
RED WINE KISSES - raced three wide from the 650m.
ROCKCENT - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 3   DONALDSON FARMS PACE
The start was delayed due to ADELPHI STORM and INTERRORGATOR becoming fractious. A warning was placed on the barrier record of both runners.
RUTHERFORD - began awkwardly. Held up final bend.
IDEAL CONQUEROR - slow to begin.
FRANCO ELVIS - paced roughly over the concluding stages.
FRANCENT - lay inwards throughout the run home.
LUCKY MONEY - paced roughly in the run home.
INTERRORGATOR - raced wide early. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
THE TOWN OF LIGHT - raced wide early. Raced greenly when being dictated wider on the track by an inside runner leaving the final bend.
COSMIC STAR - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
SWIMMING POOLE - refused to come up into its position prior to the start and backed away taking no part in the race. Declared a non-runner by Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
Race 4   FULLER HAND TOOLS MOBILE PACE
TUPPENCE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Briefly crowded by an outside runner near the 100m having to be steadied by driver G Thornley.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - held up until late in the run home. Shifted inwards near the 100m crowding an inside runner. Driver S Hill was issued a warning. Mr Hill was also spoken to for attempting a marginal run over the concluding stages which resulted in his runner being placed in restricted room.
WILLOW VALLEY - lay inwards in the run home.
D'CASH - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Paced roughly final bend and in the run home.
MY SKATJIE - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
TASI AHNAU - held up leaving the final bend.

BLACK BILLIE GEE - held up early in the run home.
STANLEY'S RULE - held up early in the run home.
DANCE WITH THE BOSS - paced roughly final bend and in the run home. Lay inwards middle stages of the run home having to be corrected by driver C Dalgety.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - driver W House was issued a warning for failing to check in following the race.
AMALFI - raced wide early. Lay inwards at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised that the gelding had failed to make ground from the rear of the field after settling wide early.
DON JUAN - trainer M Purvis was issued a warning for not having the correct colours available.

DENNIS DENUTO - driver R Close advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
STORMY VISTA - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
APATCHOFGOLD - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
COMIC LUSTRE - weakened leaving the final bend.
HE'S A BAY - broke leaving the final bend hampering outside and trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

MICHAEL EYRE - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend. Driver C Dalgety was issued a warning for failing to check in following the race.
RAKERO CHASE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MIDNIGHT BABE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 7   SUPER SIRE WATERLOO SUNSET TROT
OPAWA PEAK - struck the sulky wheel of REINDEER TROUBLE early in the run home when shifting ground inwards. Driver K Cameron was issued a warning. Mr Cameron advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
TARUKENGA - weakened from the 700m.
KERRALLY - shifted outwards in the run home briefly crowding an outside runner. Driver C Dalgety was issued a warning to maintain a straight course in the run home.
STRIKE IT LUCKY - broke early in the run home hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
SOLEMN SON - broke at the start checking a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Crowded by an inside runner in the run home. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
REINDEER TROUBLE - over-raced middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver J Curtin was issued a warning for dropping his foot from the sulky footrest in the run home.
LIVING THE MOMENT - late scratching at 12.55pm on Veterinary advice.
LIME IN A BOTTLE - weakened early in the run home.
DIEDRE FRANCO - lay inwards racing into the first bend striking track markers. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m. When questioned regarding the improved performance driver G Thornley advised the mare had benefited from gaining confidence on the unruly in recent starts as well as some gear adjustments and improved track conditions today.
MAKE MY DAY - checked and broke shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened at the 700m.
HIGH NOON - hampered by a breaking runner early in the run home. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 8   TOTAL GAS CARE DURBAN CHIEF WESTPORT TROTTERS CUP (HCP TROT)
ONE EL - lay outwards at various stages throughout. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver J Curtin advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
HERE COMES JANE - broke at the 400m losing all chance.
ROYDON MUSCLE - over-raced middle stages.
TU TANGATA - trainer P Nairn was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified removable deafeners.
MASTERLY - raced wide early.
Race 9   BERNIE STEWART MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
HIT THE LIGHTS - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
LETS GET TROPICAL - broke when leading rounding the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
CHANGEFORTHEBETA - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HI HOPES - shifted outwards leaving the final bend and in the run home. Driver S Hill was issued a warning to maintain a straight course in the run home.
SAMVASA - crowded late in the score up and was out of position at the start. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver P Davis who advised his chances had not been affected and his own horse's manners had also contributed. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ONELOVEONELIFE - over-raced middle stages. Driver A Fitzgerald was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
RAZORS EDGE - driver J Geddes was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
Race 10   ADAMS CONSTRUCTION LIMITED HANDICAP PACE
EVANGALIST - fractious prior to the start requiring assistance from a Starting Attendant and reared just prior to the start being effected. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
DESTINY DANCE - paced roughly in the early stages losing ground. Driver R Close was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
PICCADILLY PETE - driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 11   COSMOPOLITAN HOTEL TROT
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - checked and broke entering the first bend when GAZZA BEATT shifted inwards losing all chance.
KNOWING ME - switched to a pace before breaking near the 1500m losing ground. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150m during the running. Connections did not contest the protest and KNOWING ME was disqualified by the Stewards. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MARTHA STUART - shifted outwards as the start was effected crowding outside runners. Raced wide from the 800m.
THE CHASE - late scratching at 9.15am on Veterinary advice.
PRINCE TEKA - crowded by an inside runner at the start.
BEVRON - raced wide from the 800m.
GAZZA BEATT - shifted inwards racing into the first bend checking OUR PEGASUS PEARL which broke and lost all chance. Driver A Tomlinson admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when shifting ground when insufficiently clear of OUR PEGASUS PEARL which was checked. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Tomlinson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 30 December up to and including 12 January 2025 (3 days).
Race 12   NEW WORLD WESTPORT MOBILE PACE
EASTWOOD DREAM - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Driver S Hill advised he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled. Mr Hill was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home.
ALWAYS BEE GEE - crowded by an outside runner racing into the first bend. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised that despite working hard in the early stages he had been disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
EVIDENTLY - raced wide early.
SARASOTA SUNSET - shifted inwards racing into the first bend crowding an inside runner. Driver T Walsh was issued a warning. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Mr Walsh was also issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
ZIA BROMAC - raced wide early stages. Again raced wide from the 800m.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - raced four wide from the 700m.
DESTINY'S DREAM - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
