Race 1   PAVILLIONS HOTEL TROT
MACHO MAN - weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner and lay inwards contacting several track markers. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the gelding had raced lethargically and did not handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
SOUTH SYDNEY - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Broke near the 150m losing all chance.
WATERLOO STATION - raced wide early.
LOVER BOY - broke at the start losing ground. Held up by a weakening runner passing the 500m. Weakened final bend.
CALL DUDLEY - broke after 100m hampering a trailing runner and losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
SPOTLIGHT - fractious prior to the start.
WYPOUT - briefly hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Raced wide early. Hampered again by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
BIG AL - stood on the mark losing ground. Weakened from the 500m. Driver H Stewart reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
SIGNAL HILL - broke leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.

Race 2   FRESHCHOICE WESTPORT PACE
ROCKCENT - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. A front hopple carrier came adrift during the running when trailing the field. Trainer W Lake was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix gear so as not to come adrift.
YOGI'S COLADA - fractious prior to the start. Over-raced middle stages.
STUNNA - fractious prior to the start.
MARY RULZ - hung outwards passing the 800m losing ground.
FLOOZY SUZY - raced greenly for a distance passing the 1100m. Paced roughly final bend when weakening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer S Fensom advised he would be making gear adjustments to the filly for racing on the second day.

Race 3   BUY & SELL WITH MARCHELLE PACE
A false start was declared when COSMIC STAR shifted outwards abruptly just prior to the barrier strand being released checking ADELPHI STORM. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver C Dalgety elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the restart.
COSMIC STAR - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
ADELPHI STORM - weakened from the 400m.
ELEGANT ACHIEVER - the under check was removed prior to the restart. Stood on the mark losing ground then broke after 100m losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
IDEAL CONQUEROR - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort.
SWIMMING POOLE - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke shortly after the start and shifted up the track losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
THE TOWN OF LIGHT - driver S Clarke was warned for using his whip free of the rein early in the run home.
RUTHERFORD - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 4   GRAEME & JOAN McMASTER MOBILE PACE
BRANDI SNAPP - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
D'CASH - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
MY SKATJIE - paced roughly late in the score up crowding an outside runner and was out of position the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide from the 1100m. Weakened from the 600m. Driver C Markham was warned for using his whip free of the rein and with more than a wrist flicking motion near the 1300m.
FRANCENT - crowded late in the score up and was out of position the start. Raced wide from the 1100m. Declared a non-runner by Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start.
FRANCO ELVIS - weakened leaving the final bend and struck a track marker. Driver B Hope was issued with a warning. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Hope advised the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions.
FEAR GOGH - raced wide early. Weakened from the 800m and was retired from the race. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Co-trainer P Robertson advised the filly had failed to handle the track conditions.
MAJOR MONEYMAKER - held up early in the run home.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer T Bagrie advised the filly had failed to handle the track conditions. Cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 5   AFLEX HOMES/COAST OUTDOORS MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed 1 minute at the request of the TAB.
MIDNIGHT BABE - weakened final bend.
SMART I AM - late scratching on veterinary advice at 9.20pm on 25 December.

BLACK BILLIE GEE - briefly crowded shortly after the start when an outside runner hung inwards. Raced greenly passing the 1100m losing ground. Weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver K Butt advised the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions.
COMIC LUSTRE - hung inwards shortly after the start despite the efforts of T Williams briefly crowding an inside runner. Over-raced passing the 1600m when being restrained to obtain cover. Weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Williams advised the filly had failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - lay outwards rounding the final bend causing driver W House some difficulty.
STANLEY'S RULE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Close. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
DANCE WITH THE BOSS - out of position at the start. Driver J Dunn was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dunn advised the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions. Trainer M Purvis advised that the horse may be better suited when driven for one run.

HE'S TOUGH - weakened final bend.
RAPID RESPONSE - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance connections advised the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
SULTAN OF SWING - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner and losing ground. Weakened from the 500m and was retired from the race by driver J Morrison. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Morrison advised the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

LIME IN A BOTTLE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 1100m. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised the filly had failed to handle the track conditions.
MAKE MY DAY - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend. Driver K Gill advised the bit on the mare had twisted causing her difficulty.

Race 8   FRANK DOOLEY MEMORIAL WESTPORT CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
A false start was declared at the first attempt when the front-line barrier strand failed to clear the front legs of TEDS LEGACY which had become fractious. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TEDS LEGACY - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
DESTINY DANCE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 600m. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer R Higgins.

GOTTA ELECT BILL - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
JACK TAR - raced wide early. Attempted to improve three wide for a distance passing the 1700m however was unable to muster enough speed and was then restrained to the rear of the field approaching the 1200m. Weakened from the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
GOT YOU COVERED - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
TRIPLE G - weakened rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
Race 9   CRITERION HOTEL MOBILE PACE
CHANGEFORTHEBETA - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend,
HIT THE LIGHTS - driver W House was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance being retired from the race by driver J Morrison. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
HA'PENNY - weakened final bend.
ONELOVEONELIFE - over-raced early stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver A Fitzgerald was warned for trailing too close in the running.
HI HOPES - held up rounding the final bend and until late in the run home. Driver S Hill reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 10   BULLER REFRIGERATION & ELECTRICAL HANDICAP TROT
REGAL SIERRA - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 450m hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.
HERE COMES JANE - weakened final bend.
TU TANGATA - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 450m. Driver P Nairn reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. Stewards questioned driver P Nairn regarding the tactics he adopted in the middle stages when electing not to shift wider on the track near the 1400m prior to being covered by an improving runner. Mr Nairn advised the gelding had trotted roughly and broken in previous starts on the track and for this reason he was reluctant to improve to the parked position due to the prevailing track conditions with a considerable distance still remaining until the finish. Stewards noted Mr Nairn's comments.
Race 11   BP2GO WESTPORT TROT
GINAS MAJESTY - broke briefly near the 300m losing ground. Again broke leaving the final bend losing all chance.
KNOWING ME - switched to a pace racing over the crossing near the 2100m before breaking losing ground. Weakened final bend.
ILLEGAL ALIEN - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of driver B Hope revealed no obvious abnormalities.
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - weakened from the 600m.
SODS LAW - weakened from the 500m.
THE CHASE - broke rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.
PRINCE TEKA - broke briefly at the start.
MARTHA STUART - shifted outwards in the run home. Driver C Dalgety reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. Mr Dalgety was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
DESBOIS - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
Race 12   TRT BUILDERS MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS BEE GEE - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
DON JUAN - over-raced middle stages.
SAMVASA - lay inwards and paced roughly when over-racing at various stages throughout causing driver P Davis some difficulty. Weakened final bend.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised the filly had failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CARRERA KAHU - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Cameron. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke near the 300m losing ground.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - connections advised the mare has been served since last racing. Held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
