THE WULVER - over-raced at various stages during the running. Held up final bend and then had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver S Ottley reported she did not activate the sliding blinds or release the removable deafeners in consequence.
CAPTAIN STARLIGHT - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   SHEET METALCRAFT LTD HANDICAP TROT
KRACKALING - over-raced when leading near the 2000m.
PRACTICAL MAGIC - trotted roughly throughout the run home.
OUR SUPERFUND - slow away. Raced three wide with cover from the 1400m. Broke passing the 500m hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BILL BOOTIT - placed in restricted room by an inside runner when weakening rounding the final bend.
MASTER CLASS - trainer K Butt was warned for failing to have the correct colours available. Held up leaving the final bend only obtaining clear racing room passing the 100m. Driver K Butt reported she did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
SAMANTHAS MOON - shifted out near the 300m placing an outside runner in restricted room. Driver K Green was warned for the manner she shifted ground at this point. Held up leaving the final bend only obtaining clear racing room passing the 100m.
EMILY - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
KD ROYALTY - raced three wide from the 1200m.
MIXED FAITH - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Raced three wide without cover for a distance from the 1400m.
GIFT CARD - raced three wide with cover from the 1400m then without cover from the 1000m.
THE PRESENT MAKER - pre-race warmed. Broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.

SWEET SUE - placed in restricted room by an outside runner racing into the first bend and dislodged a track marker.
BABE ON THE BEACH - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
CRACKASKY - over-raced through the middle stages.
MIKI'S BEAUTY - lay in racing into the first bend placing an inside runner in restricted room. Over-raced through the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend only obtaining clear racing room passing the 100m.
JANAKA'S DELIGHT - raced wide early.
VINCHETTO - driver J Cox reported that only one sliding blind activated.
IT'S A PLEASURE - raced wide early.
CRACKER OPIE - trainer C Ferguson was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1200m.
ANGUS FINN - raced three wide with cover from the start and then without cover from the 1200m despite the efforts of driver B Orange.
Race 6   SBSR SIRES' STAKES SOUTHERN SOLSTICE (MOBILE PACE)
SHERGAR - late scratching on veterinary advice at 9.18am.
TED - held up rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home.
MAGICIAN - pre-race warmed.
ALWAYS B ELVIS - paced roughly then broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FRANCO SAILOR - over-raced middle stages.
Race 7   BRENDAN FRANKS FARRIER DAVID MOSS STAKES (HANDICAP TROT)
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - weakened final bend.
RATA - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
JIMMY CARTER - broke after 150m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FLYING WITHOUT WINGS - lay in on the bends and again rounding the final bend striking track markers.
STYRAX - tangled away. Broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Broke again on several other occasions during the running losing all chance.
CODY BANNER - cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
HIDDEN TALENT - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Trainer C Barron advised Stewards on 2 January that BRING ON THE MUSCLE has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 8   CANADA STAKES 3YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds due to the oncourse St John Ambulance personnel being required to attend to a member of the public.
BUBBLE ME - weakened final bend.
MELODY BANNER - late scratching on veterinary advice at 3.48pm.
RAKNRUIN - shifted in passing the 150m having to be straightened by driver B Williamson.
ALWAYS TICKING - raced wider on the track near the 1250m when WALLFLOWER shifted outwards. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule however after viewing replays it was established that driver C Dalgety (WALLFLOWER) had commenced his outwards movement prior to ALWAYS TICKING reaching his sulky wheel with no further action required.
MOLLY BELWIN - over-raced throughout. Weakened final bend. When asked to comment driver S Ottley advised the filly had raced fiercely and may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
Race 9   ASCOT PARK HOTEL INVERCARGILL CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
MIKEY MAGUIRE - bounded at the start hampering an outside runner and then broke losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened from the 700m and paced roughly under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had cast a shoe and to have some lameness in the off foreleg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
PINSEEKER - hampered at the start. Briefly locked sulky stays with RAKERO ROCKET near the 200m.
RAKERO ROCKET - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Briefly locked sulky stays with PINSEEKER near the 200m.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - driver C Dalgety was warned for crossing the reins and performing a celebratory gesture late in the run home.
Race 10   FORKLIFTS NZ LTD 2YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE
ATALANTA - weakened final bend.
SHEZABETTORGIRL - weakened final bend.
SHOWCASE - weakened final bend.
RASPALIA - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
JUST LIKE JAGGER - raced greenly near the 1300m.
Race 11   DIAMOND CREEK FARM/SBSR ROBIN DUNDEE CROWN (MOBILE PACE)
BOMBAY GLACIER - over-raced in the score up briefly getting its head over the barrier arm.
BETTER BE WATCHING - held up in the middle and latter stages of the run home.
LAKELSA - driver R Close reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SEACRACKA - held up final bend.
MOSSDALE MARGARET - weakened final bend.
Race 12   RON McEWAN MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
RIGHTAZZ - hampered by a breaking runner near the 150m.
BROOKIES PLAYER - raced wide early.
BEACH DAY - raced three wide with cover from the 900m.
JUDAQUE - lost contact with the field for a distance through the middle stages. Lay in on the bends.
HEY BARTENDER - paced roughly for a distance from the 800m. Weakened final bend, eased down over the concluding stages. When asked to comment driver C Dalgety advised the gelding had been striking its knees on the bends and failed to handle the tighter turning track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 2/5 lame in the off hind leg and to have abrasions consistent with hopple chafing and from striking its knee. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
ALWAYS B THERE - lay in when improving three wide passing the 1200m having to be straightened by driver C Ferguson. Broke passing the 150m hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - raced three wide from the 1000m.
