Race 1   WELCOME TO THE ELMWOOD TRADING CO. RACENIGHT MOBILE PACE
FAST ACE - out of position at the start. Driver D Roberts was issued a warning. Severely checked by a breaking runner near the 500m losing all chance.
PRIDES CONTESSA - out of position at the start. Driver A Beecroft was issued a warning. Severely checked near the 500m and broke with the mare locking wheels with EVIDENTLY resulting in driver K McClintock being dislodged from the sulky.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - shifted outwards and contacted the wheel of FOVEAUX GAMBLER near the 500m and broke with trailing runners being severely checked. Driver W Frost admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 500m when allowing his horse to shift outwards when activating gear and contact the sulky wheel of FOVEAUX GAMBLER and break resulting in trailing runners being severely checked with driver K McClintock being dislodged from the sulky of EVIDENTLY. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Frost's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 17 April 2025 (4 months).
EVIDENTLY - out of position at the start. Driver K McClintock was issued a warning. Checked by a breaking runner near the 500m with driver K McClintock being dislodged from the sulky with EVIDENTLY escaping driverless before being caught by the Clerk of the Course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr McClintock was attended to by St John paramedics before being transported to hospital for further assessment. Mr McClintock is required to supply a medical clearance prior to resuming driving.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - raced wide early.
KOWHAI NUGGET - raced wide early. Raced wide from the 700m.
KATHERINE - raced wide from the 700m.
Race 2   THE ELMWOOD TRADING CO - FOR FUNCTIONS & QUIZ NIGHTS TROT
PERFECT CALL - trainer J Howe was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without a saddlecloth number. Began awkwardly. Lay inwards rounding the first bend striking a track marker. Broke near the 2200m losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly near the 1500m. Again trotted roughly in the run home.
ROSE ISLE - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 2000m when trailing the field losing all chance.
RUTHLESS EMMA - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 50m losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer A Mugford.
ROYAL GYPSY - racing greenly racing into the first bend and shifted up the track having to be steadied by driver B Orange. Lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected.
NATIVES BLAZIN SON - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
WEE WESTY - connections advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
HOOFN IT - fractious prior to the start.
Race 3   BUSINESS IT - PROVIDES A1 CYBERSECURITY & IT MANAGEMENT PACE
HOWIE ROBYN - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
IVAN THE GREAT - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Paced roughly near the 200m.
KAWACTUS - fractious prior to the start. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
MAGISTRATE - fractious prior to the start. Lay inwards and paced roughly near the 900m. Weakened final bend. Driver N Burton was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
CHEVAL NOIR - slow to begin. Broke near the 1400m when reacting poorly to being restrained after becoming awkwardly placed to the inside of HOWIE ROBYN losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Over-raced and lay inwards near the 700m having to be steadied. Weakened final bend.

MAROUBRA - driver C Ford admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Ford's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 1 January 2025 (2 days).
CHESTER GOLD - driver K Cameron advised the gelding had lay outwards causing him difficulty during the running.
HELP ME - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance.
KOWHAI SUNBURST - broke near the 1600m losing all chance.
SEE NO EVIL - lay outwards and trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver J Morrison.
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.

SHANNON B - weakened over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the mare had worked hard in the early stages to maintain the lead and may be better suited when driven for one run.
PACIFIC THUNDER - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners and lay inwards striking track markers.
RACIE DALE - lay inwards rounding the first bend losing ground. Held up by a weakening runner final bend. Held up in the middle stages of the run home.
FLYING FOR ME - over-raced middle stages. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
WHOSDREAMINGNOW - raced wide early.
HEAVEN FORBID - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards throughout the run home causing driver R Cameron difficulty.
Race 6   TABLE OF KNOWLEDGE - TUESDAY NIGHTS AT THE ELMWOOD TROT
CRAZY N LOVE - weakened final bend.
KAWHI - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer D Keast advised the gelding had trained on well since its first start for the stable on Friday and the horse had benefited from a drop in class and gear changes of adding blinds and taking off the removable deafeners.
MEANDAD - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
TINKERBELLE - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
TAKE AFTER ME - trotted roughly passing the 900m. Weakened final bend.
CROWN THE MOMENT - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker. Trotted roughly early in the run home.
BRIAN BEATT - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
Race 7   THE ELMWOOD TRADING CO - VOTED NZ'S BEST LOCAL MOBILE PACE
WESTAR MOLLY - late scratching at 9.00am on Veterinary advice.
IVONA DADIC - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R May. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Mr May defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations alleging he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr May the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr May's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 28 December 2024 (3 days).
DARBY - when questioned regarding the performance trainer T Yesberg advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be showing signs of being in season and slight muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up with Mr Yesberg in the coming days.
KING ARTHUR - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SEARING LIGHT - raced wide from the 800m.
COURAGE REACTOR - over-raced early stages.
Race 8   GOODBYE & THANK YOU JOHNNY LUXTON 'AVON CITY FORD' TROT
TARUKENGA - weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DIDJABRINGTHEBUBBLES - broke near the 2000m losing all chance.
SHANDON BELLS - lay inwards final bend briefly crowding an inside runner.
ROBO TROUBLE - began awkwardly.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - briefly crowded final bend by an outside runner. Driver G Thornley advised the removable deafeners had failed to fully activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 9   JOIN THE ELMWOOD SOCIAL CLUB 'FOR THE BEST FUN IN TOWN' PACE
LORD MUDRICK - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MAJOR PERFORMER - over-raced middle stages.
KIRKMAN - broke at the start losing ground.
INTERPOL - paced roughly in the early stages. Retired from the race passing the 900m. Driver S Ottley advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises and pacing roughly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
THE HIGHLANDER - paced roughly in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
ZIA BROMAC - broke at the start losing ground.
JUSTA DIVA - over-raced middle stages. Crowded by an outside runner near the 800m.
