Driver W Frost admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 500m when allowing his horse to shift outwards when activating gear and contact the sulky wheel of FOVEAUX GAMBLER and break resulting in trailing runners being severely checked with driver K McClintock being dislodged from the sulky of EVIDENTLY. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Frost's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 17 April 2025 (4 months). | |

Checked by a breaking runner near the 500m with driver K McClintock being dislodged from the sulky with EVIDENTLY escaping driverless before being caught by the Clerk of the Course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr McClintock was attended to by St John paramedics before being transported to hospital for further assessment. Mr McClintock is required to supply a medical clearance prior to resuming driving. | |

After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr May the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr May's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 28 December 2024 (3 days). | |
DARBY - when questioned regarding the performance trainer T Yesberg advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be showing signs of being in season and slight muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up with Mr Yesberg in the coming days. | |
