HEARTBREAK HOTEL - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke passing the 300m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding. | |
KISS MY PIXEL - held up final bend. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1100m when KISS MY PIXEL shifted ground outwards with ALL MUSCLED UP briefly racing wider on the track. After viewing the replays it was established that driver G Martin (KISS MY PIXEL) had shifted outwards prior to ALL MUSCLED UP reaching his sulky wheel. Accordingly no further action was deemed necessary. | |
ALL MUSCLED UP - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards rounding the first bend striking track markers. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. | |
KING OF DIAMONDS - broke passing the 300m when being shifted wider by an inside runner which had been hampered losing all chance. | |

BEVRON - lay inwards rounding the final bend and early in the run home. | |
ROYAL ACTION - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver E Johnson was issued a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. Miss Johnson was also spoken to advisedly to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home. | |
RUN FOREST RUN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again in the middle stages when trailing the field and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. | |
QUERCUS RUBRA - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver M Hay advised that he had been able to relax the mare in the preliminary as opposed to recent starts where she had become worked up and he had been able to dictate terms when leading tonight. | |
MANCHESTER IN TIME - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Abernethy advised that in his opinion the gelding had failed to back up after racing on the first day. |

MISS WOODVILLE - shifted out on straightening for the run home checking TRES BONNE FILLE however was immediately corrected by driver P Ferguson. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until driver B Orange (TRES BONNE FILLE placed 4th) confirmed that his chances had not been affected. Mr Ferguson advised the filly had hung throughout causing him difficulty. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. | |

TRES BONNE FILLE - checked early in the run home when an inside runner shifted ground outwards. | |
GIFTED BRIGADE - out of position at the start. Driver L Neal was issued a warning. Paced roughly passing the 1000m. Lost ground passing the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance Mrs Neal advised that in her opinion the filly had failed to handle the track conditions however she was still disappointed with the effort and it was her intention to send the filly for a spell. | |
BET ON POLLY - out of position at the start. Driver J Abernethy was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful Mr Abernethy had been warned recently in relation to this rule. | |
D K LOUIE - driver S Doody admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion rounding the final bend and early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Doody's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 21 January 2025 (4 days). | |
