Lc5T6hko9UM MASSIVE MERC - broke near the 600m losing considerable ground. Authorisation of the promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break during the running.
TARRAGINDI - placed in restricted room momentarily near the 1100m when an outside runner lay inwards. Lay outwards early in the run home hampering an outside runner before breaking passing the 190m for a distance before settling. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver M Williamson did not contest the protest and TARRAGINDI was disqualified by the Stewards.
MAJOR DOOSIE - trotted roughly passing the 900m losing ground. Again trotted roughly passing the 600m. Broke late in the run home. Authorisation of the promoted 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break at the finish.
MEANT TO BE - lay inwards near the 1100m placing an inside runner in restricted room momentarily. Hampered by an inside runner near the 190m.

B0yPxGGkQc8 HABIBTI PAT - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1100m. Driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
OCEAN EYES - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
SEE NO EVIL - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Broke near the 1600m losing ground. Broke again near the 1050m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
ODINA - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Continued to trot roughly in the early stages. Broke near the 1700m losing ground. Broke again approaching the 400m losing all chance.
DASH DOSH - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.

KOTARE KELSO - held up rounding the final bend.
MIGHTY FLYING LOU - lay inwards final bend striking track markers. Held up early in the run home. Hung inwards again in the run home and struck track markers.
SALUTE - when questioned regarding the performance driver R May advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer B Hill in the coming days.
TOKYO ROSE - raced wide early and middle stages.
COMMANDER JOE - raced wide early.
WUHAN - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 450m. Lay inwards when weakening rounding the final bend striking track markers.
DAVE DULEY - raced wide early.
DANCING DESIRE - paced roughly passing the 800m. Broke near the 450m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SONG SUNG BLUE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.

IT'S SO EASY - broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke again passing the 2100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the mares racing record. Weakened from the 700m.
GEORGE ELIOT - lay outwards for a distance passing the 700m and again in the run home.
VERTIGO - weakened final bend.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
MAVIS JONES - held up final bend.
FORGIVENESS - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Forced to race wide for a short distance near the 1900m after being hampered. Weakened final bend.

RATA - connections advised the mare would be racing in season.
RUSH - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.

ALWAYS DREAMING - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised he was not disappointed given the rise in class of the race.

DUCHESS MEGXIT - driver Z Butcher admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations 4.4 in that he crossed his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture and the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200. In taking this course of action Stewards took into account his recent warning in relation to this Rule.

KEAYANG ZAHARA - driver J Lee was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to arrive at the start area.
EMPIRE CITY - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Hung inwards and broke near the 900m losing ground. Held up early in the run home. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break during the running.
TORQUAY STREET - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
FEAR AND FAITH - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.

IWF36gTAihE HOT AND DANGEROUS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Cameron. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke near the 900m checking trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
VINCENT REACTRESS - raced wide early. Checked by a breaking runner near the 900m and broke losing all chance.
FOREVER DREAM - checked by a breaking runner near the 900m.
ALLETS - checked by a breaking runner near the 900m. Awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of GENERAL JEN near the 350m and shifted inwards simultaneously to ARAFURA attempting a run to the inside resulting in ARAFURA racing in restricted room. Stewards questioned drivers J Dunn (ALLETS) and C Ferguson (ARAFURA) regarding this incident and after viewing the films Stewards were satisfied no one driver was at fault and took the matter no further.
GENERAL JEN - raced wide early.
JOYRIDE(AUS) - raced wide early.
NOTHING BUT YOU - over-raced middle stages. Checked by a breaking runner near the 900m.
WINELIGHT - checked by a breaking runner near the 900m.
ARAFURA - checked by a breaking runner near the 900m. Placed in restricted room and raced inside several track markers near the 350m. Held up late in the run home.
CAPTAINS MISTRESS - the sulky seat shifted in the run home unbalancing driver N Williamson and causing him difficulty over the concluding stages.

RACHMANINOV - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend. Lay inwards striking track markers rounding the final bend.
STYRAX - raced wide early. Placed in restricted room racing into the first bend. Driver B Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MISS YO - refused to score up taking no part in the race. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
STYX JEWEL - raced wide early.
MASTER CLASS - shifted inwards racing into the first bend placing inside runners in restricted room. Driver K Butt was issued a warning. Lay inwards striking track markers rounding the final bend.
CORMORAN STRIKE - raced wide early.
