Race 1   HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN GEMMELL HANDICAP TROT
SCOOTS - trotted roughly rounding the first bend losing ground.
ALL MUSCLED UP - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly in the run home.
LA DAMA - broke racing into the first bend losing ground and was retired from the event. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be showing signs of muscle tie-up. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
QUERCUS RUBRA - raced wide early stages. Driver M Hay was advised he must start wider on the track when drawn Unruly. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Hay stated the mare had failed to back up after racing on the first day.
Race 2   MATT HICKEY NEW PATRON MOBILE PACE
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - Driver C Hackett was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
CANDY GIRL - weakened from the 500m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
TRES BONNE FILLE - Trainer S Dickson was warned for being late to notify the filly would race with sliding blinds instead of the notified blinds.
MAGIE DO - Trainer A Pyers advised the mare would be racing in season. Hung inwards throughout. Weakened final bend.
Race 3   LIFE MEMBER DON HAYDOCK MOBILE PACE
MISS WOODVILLE - Driver A Pyers was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on several occasions early in the run home.
FRANKIE - raced wide without cover from the 600m. Lay in rounding the final bend. Placed in restricted room having to be steadied near the 50m. When questioned regarding the performance Driver W House confirmed the gelding had failed to handle the final bend.
BECKER - Trainer D Bublitz was warned for being late to notify the gelding would race with removable deafeners.
LOOKATME CHRISTY - paced roughly near the 100m. Lay outwards near the 50m placing an outside runner in restricted room having to be steadied.
JETASI - lay inwards near the 50m placing an inside runner in restricted room having to be steadied.
D K LOUIE - over-raced and hung outwards entering the first bend contacting the sulky wheel of JETASI and broke losing ground. Held up rounding the final bend.
Race 4   PALMERSTONIAN PRELUDE MOBILE PACE
LORD DELMAR - over-raced middle stages. Held up late in the run home.
RED RACKHAM - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide without cover from the 600m.
Race 5   ST JOHNS AMBULANCE MOBILE PACE
CALL SECURITY - hung outwards at various stages.
OCEANIC ART - over-raced middle stages.
Race 6   HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHEN GILLIES MOBILE PACE
CATHY FREEMAN - weakened final bend. When questioned Driver B Orange could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 7   CHRISTMAS FUNCTION BOOK NOW DEC 10 & 12 MOB PACE
THE ELITE ATHLETE - paced roughly and broke briefly near the 600m losing ground.
MORERE - Driver B Orange reported he was unable to activate the deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
BAILEYS PITCH - over-raced middle stages.
SANTANNA MACH - Driver W House was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
RORY MCILROY - weakened final bend.
Top
