Trainer T Yesberg advised Stewards on 15 November GATECRASHER has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
Trainer B Gray advised Stewards on 15 November he believed FOXING EASTON had not coped with the travel to the meeting as well as had been expected and this had taken its toll on the gelding over the concluding stages of the race.

Race 1   PEEK EXHIBITION - ALFRED HUGHES MEMORIAL MOBILE TROT
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m.
WHAT THE BELL - trotted roughly and broke after 150m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with trainer M Jones in the coming days.
PARIS PRINCE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GIFT CARD - trotted roughly passing the 1300m. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and struck several track markers when laying inwards. When questioned regarding the performance trainer J Campbell and driver M Williamson were both disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed the early signs of a respiratory infection. Mr Campbell advised he would be having blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
IT'S SO EASY - held up by a weakening runner final bend and lay inwards striking track markers.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - weakened from the 600m and lay inwards striking track markers final bend.
FREYA - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m.
MY ROYAL BREAK - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke after 150m losing ground. Trotted roughly passing the 900m and broke losing all chance.
TU TANGATA - raced wide from the 700m.
Race 2   MACCA LODGE 'TRAINED SOUTH OF THE WAITAKI' MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start when TERRA SANCTA required attention to its gear.
WAVEWATCHER - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of trainer E Latimer revealed no abnormalities.
RISE UP N DANCE -weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised the gelding had failed to back up from its run on Tuesday. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
FRANCO SAILOR - raced wide early. Paced roughly near the 2100m. Over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
ULTIMATE CHALLENGE - crowded shortly after the start and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of ITOJE. Held up throughout the run home. Struck the sulky wheel of WAVEWATCHER near the 60m. Driver J Cox was issued a warning. In taking this course of action Stewards were satisfied there had been no consequential effects as a result.
HACKSAW RIDGE - hung inwards shortly after the start crowding an inside runner. Raced wide early. Lay inwards striking track markers near the 1500m.
STILL ROCKIN - held up final bend.
TERRA SANCTA - hung inwards over the early stages. Trainer/driver M Williamson advised he would be making gear changes prior to the mare racing next.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - over-raced middle stages.
FETA GO FERNCO - weakened final bend.
Following this race the track was upgraded to Fast.
Race 3   IRT SIRES' STAKES SERIES 2YO CHAMPIONSHIP (MOBILE TROT)
Stewards spoke to Starter R Donnelly regarding the start due to a number of horses being off the gate. Mr Donnelly explained that the prevailing wind had caught the gate late in the score up and as a result Stewards took no action against any horse or driver.
MASSIVE MERC - weakened final bend.
QUEEN KIZEN - out of position at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m. Weakened final bend.
OCEAN EYES - out of position at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m.
FRAZZLED - broke near the 850m hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
SEE NO EVIL - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened final bend.
TARRAGINDI - out of position at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m. Lay outwards in the early and middle stages of the run home despite the efforts of driver M Williamson who advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.

MELODY BANNER - paced roughly as the start was effected hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Held up rounding the final bend. Broke near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
KATHERINE - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
JACK TAR - raced wide early.
KOWHAI NUGGET - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SHAKE A LEG - broke late in the score up losing ground. Stood down to trial on one occasion from the mobile to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Lay inwards near the 1500m striking a track marker.

TOKYO ROSE - held up final bend.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - raced four wide with cover from the 800m.
DECEPTIVE LEE - raced wide early. Forced to race four wide from the 900m.
ROCK OR BUST - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the gelding had worked hard early with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

EUROSTYLE - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Broke near the 800m losing all chance.
ONE OVER ALL - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

Race 7   DUNSTAN SIRES' STAKES SERIES FILLIES CHAMPIONSHIP (MOB PACE)
The start was delayed due to a member of the public requiring assistance from St John Ambulance personnel.
Stewards questioned Starter R Donnelly regarding the start and in particular the reason for not declaring a false start. Mr Donnelly advised he believed he had reached the start point and that as no driver had signalled a false start should be declared he activated the start. After hearing from drivers O Thornley (WINELIGHT) and B Butt (GENERAL JEN) and taking into account the proximity of the incident to the start point Stewards took the matter no further.
WINELIGHT - broke late in the score up checking a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
LONGVIEW TUI - weakened final bend.
YOURETHEONETHATIWANT - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Phelan advised the filly had raced keenly during the running however he had been disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
HOT AND DANGEROUS - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Broke rounding the final bend and locked wheels with SWEET MAGGIE MAE hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of mild muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
IM SANDRA DEE - raced wide throughout. Hampered final bend when weakening.
SWEET MAGGIE MAE - checked and locked wheels with HOT AND DANGEROUS rounding the final bend losing all chance.
GENERAL JEN - checked by a breaking runner late in the score up. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver B Butt had viewed replays of the start and confirmed his chances had been affected with GENERAL JEN being declared a non-runner by Stewards due to being denied a fair start.
CAPTAINS MISTRESS - driver N Williamson was issued a warning for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture. Mr Williamson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 November up to and including 27 November 2024 (5 days) and imposed a fine of $600.
ARAFURA - raced wide with cover from the 1400m.
Race 8   MAJESTIC HORSEFLOATS LP 'THE ASCENT' 3YO MOBILE TROT
EMPIRE CITY - lay inwards leaving the final bend crowding an inside runner. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed a poor recovery and the filly was treated for signs of colic by the on course Veterinarian. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
KEAYANG ZAHARA - rein bar removed prior to the start. Over-raced middle stages. Driver J Lee was issued a warning for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture.
TYRON EROS - hung inwards and trotted roughly first bend.
BOUNCE N BEYOND - crowded and struck a track marker leaving the final bend.
LOOK TO DA STARS - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 9   BOB McARDLE SIRES' STAKES SOUTHERN MARES CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
DANCE TILL DAWN - had to be steadied near the 1600m due to an easing of the pace.
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - driver K Green was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which she drove when easing the pace near the 1600m which hampered trailing runners.
AMARETTO FRANCO - had to be steadied near the 1600m due to an easing of the pace. Raced wide from the 800m.
MANTRA BLUE - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher advised that despite having to work hard when racing wide he was disappointed with the effort and connections would give consideration to freshening the mare prior to resuming.
SWEET DIAMOND - had to be steadied near the 1600m due to an easing of the pace.
MR KAPLAN - raced wide early. Held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
PRINCESS MERITATEN - raced wide early.
Race 10   HILL LEE & SCOTT 'THE VELOCITY' 3YO MOBILE PACE
JEREMIAH - raced wide early. Jostled for a position with DREAMS ARE FREE for a distance passing the 1500m. Stewards spoke to Drivers S Phelan (JEREMIAH) and N Williamson (DREAMS ARE FREE) regarding this incident and after hearing their explanation and viewing the replays both drivers were advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
WE WALK BY FAITH - weakened final bend.
BETTER KNUCKLE UP - lay inwards near the 350m and had to be straightened. Driver Z Butcher was issued a warning for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture.
HARRISON JOHN - held up and over-raced near the 400m and then was awkwardly placed to the inside of BETTER KNUCKLE UP which had lay inwards near the 350m. Driver C Hart admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hart's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 November up to and including 27 November 2024 (7 days) and imposed a fine of $600.
DREAMS ARE FREE - jostled for a position with JEREMIAH (S Phelan) for a distance passing the 1500m. Weakened final bend. Mr Williamson advised he had not activated the removable deafeners. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Williamson advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running and after consulting the on course Veterinarian he would be considering gear changes and trialling the horse prior to resuming. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 11   XCM SPORT HANDICAP TROT
FOUR WISE WOMEN - began awkwardly.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - broke after 200m losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
AROHA KENNY - broke briefly at the start. Held up final bend.
RUSH - held up final bend and early in the run home.
CORMORAN STRIKE - held up final bend and early in the run home.
JIMMY CARTER - raced wide from the 700m.
Race 12   'ALLIED SECURITY' NZ PACING FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE)
REPUBLICAN PARTY - held up final bend and lay inwards striking track markers. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised he was not disappointed after being held up rounding the final bend on a fast last quarter.
THE FALCON - broke briefly early in the score up and was in position at the start. Raced wide from the 800m.
CATCH A WAVE - fractious prior to the start requiring assistance from a Starting Attendant in the pre-race formation. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MERLIN - raced wide early.
THE BIG LEBOWSKI - raced wide early. Broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
TACT MCLEOD - held up throughout the run home.
ARODA - held up early in the run home.
Race 13   TERRY McDONALD MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
HELIUM - over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the run home.
FERNETTI - over-raced middle stages.
COMMANDER BEN - locked wheels briefly with MIGHTY LOOEE near the 1600m.
VESSEM - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding was racing up in grade and had peaked on its run after not having raced for a period of time. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MIGHTY LOOEE - raced wide early. Locked wheels briefly with COMMANDER BEN near the 1600m.
HEISENBERG - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
SPIRIT OF ANARCHY - late scratching at 10.30am on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
